Chelsea v Fulham (PL) 21/09/13 KO 17:30 BST
Yes please ... i suspect it won't happen tho' ... Super Frankie is finally starting to look his age and should be used much more reservedly, like last year tbh? Cole has been average, at best ... and Hazard poor. Dave should be given a chance too imho! If we are struggling to break Fulham down I'd like to see Luiz moved up to DM position for more creativity ... in fact, personally, I'd love to see Oscar & Luiz start as our pivot players ... again, won't happen tho' ... should really be a 2-0 win comparing the squads ... really hope so, altho' another home draw against our noisy neighbours may be on the cards, yet again? I'm looking forward to this one ...

Chelsea vs Basel (CL) 18/9/13 KO: 19:45 BST
Definitely deserved to be 1-0 up ... althou' we looked more like a Team of individuals rather than a "Team" imho. William looked good ... Hazard should have come off for Mata ... I think Hazard tries hard but isn't firing on all cylinders, as of late. For me, the Team gelled less following all 3 x substitutions ... in the end we could have lost 1-3 ... it's going to be a long season ahead methinks! It's not quite right, is it! I thought despite all the negativity last year Rafa actually did v. well and perhaps got this Team to over-perform? I think Jose will eventually turn things around but definitely more ups and downs to come ...

Everton v Chelsea (PL) 14/09/13 KO 17:30 BST
fairly predictable ... undone by our complete lack of penetration up front, once again ... bringing torres on is never gonna be the answer ... the only potential striker we have who may be able to shake things up is in the everton stands, loaned out ... dear oh dear!

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
if JM sticks with picking Torres up front then i suspect that over-time he will also experience the pitfalls that have seen off a succession of good CFC managers ... if the Eto gamble doesn't pay off there may not be an effective Plan B? ... the salt will be rubbed in the wound even further by a highly likely successful loan spell for Lukaku. Torres is an average striker, at best. Personally, i thought we had nothing to lose by giving Lukaku a run in the side and was quite looking forward to it ... my heart sinks every time Torres is named on the team sheet. Torres holds little or NO fear for Premiership defences! Torres is our Adebayor!

Have you forgotten what a bloody good manager we have .. ?
I'm delighted JM's back, couldn't be happier ... should never have gone in the first place! But ... I won't be looking at every JM decision thro' rose tinted spec's ... that's definitely for sure ... for example: 1) JM's clearly laid his cards on the table sticking with Lamps & Rams together for consecutive matches ... Personally, their pairing is just not for me and I'm sure other options would benefit the Team more ... 2) the Man Utd. away experiment didn't work ... arguably giving the Man Utd back four a night off! The game was definitely crying out for Lukaku to start, up front ... a massive missed opportunity, imho ... 3) Sending Lukaku out on loan ... i think this will also 'bite us in the bum' ... this has taken a little shine off the season for me already ... not looking forward to a potential mis-firing Torres coming off the bench & trying to be the game changer with 10 mins to go.

Lukaku to Everton
I just hope Eto's the answer to all our prays because bringing Torres or Ba on with 15 mins to go to break the dead-lock doesn't fill me with much hope, to be honest ...
-
Lukaku to Everton
Jose's not shy coming forward ... he would have stopped the loan if he thought necessary ... Ps. my heart sinks every time Torres starts up front because we all know we can do so much better! I hope a 32 year old Eto's the answer because if not, we're short yet again. Certainly Torres and Ba hold little fear for Premiership defenders these days ... Lukaku certainly offered something different ... a Plan B!

Lukaku to Everton
Another shocking decision by the Club ... one of the main reason's for my optimism this season (apart from JM's arrival, of course) was looking forward to Lukaku given a run up front ... he certainly couldn't do worse than the crap generally served up for years now ... I hope this Eto is not passed his best because otherwise we may be left with one of the poorest front lines (again!) this season ... I'm afraid Torres and Ba are just NOT good enough ... full stop. Ps. I'm so pleased for JM's return but I'm not looking at every decision thro' rose tinted spec's ... another poor decision and there's been a few already ...

Everton v Chelsea (PL) 14/09/13 KO 17:30 BST
Everton 1 - 1 Chelsea ... just have a feelin' this will be a draw ??? Personally, I'd like to see either Eto or Lukaku leading the front line. Lamps rested too. And Mata definitely given some time on the pitch.

Victor Moses
Personally, i was a little underwhelmed with Moses last season. However, i think he will do well for Liverpool.

Josh McEachran - Future at Chelsea?
Josh hasn't a future at Chelsea ... the window of opportunity has now been missed imho.

Chelsea v Bayern (UEFA Super Cup) 30/8/13 KO 19:45 GMT
fantastic game to watch ... shame about the result ... but the team did us proud ... going forward we need to give others the chance in the pivot roles ... lamps and rams together just don't do it for me ...

Chelsea v Bayern (UEFA Super Cup) 30/8/13 KO 19:45 GMT
it saddens me that we have gone thro' quite a few managers and still our first choice up front is the complete waste of space torres ... ffs give LUKAKU a try we have got f**k all to lose ... jose has laid his cards on the table with lamps and rams together in the pivot ... not convinced ... ffs give others a try ... luiz for example.
-
Manchester United v Chelsea (PL) 26/08/13 KO 19:45 BST
Personally, I found that very painful to watch ... For me, the wrong starting line-up leading to one of the easiest nights ever for Man Utd's back four! Lukaku should definitely have started ... no excuses! Personally, not convinced Lamps & Ram's are the best pivot combo, at all ... others should definitely be given a try! Torres was truely awful ... (yet again) ... ! Rooney 'man of the match' for me ... thought he played well. However, have to be pleased with the point despite the painful watching performance served up.

Willian to Chelsea
It's clear we have been tracking WILLIAN for several years (a Roman & Emenalo target). It's also clear that when it came to the absolute crunch, ie. losing him to a competitive rival Roman felt he had to intervene ... Willian is no Jose target. But Jose has learnt to play along these days because he is now the HAPPY one! Personally, I think this signing has perhaps come to late because these positions have already been filled by similar good players/prospects. It worries me a little that this could be the tipping point for dressing room harmony? Too many good players deserving minutes on the pitch and somethings gotta' give? This signing makes little sense to me esp. because WILLIAN is not a 30m worth player, FFP and we desperately need better attacking options, etc.

Chelsea v Aston Villa (PL) 21/08/13 KO 19:45 BST
Chelsea 1 - 0 Aston Villa ... Ba to score? I think Lukaku and Ba will be given their chance ... Mata to be given a run out. Perhaps Mikel to help defensively against the massive threat from Benteke, anyone?
-
Chelsea v Hull City (PL) 18/08/13 KO 16:00 BST
Defense and Cech looked solid today ... maybe Ashley slightly below par? I thought Lamps looked good today ... A very good mid-field performance first half. Hull battled back 2nd half ... expected nothing less from a Steve Bruce side. Overall, a deserved WIN! Torres did OK ... but so would any forward in that Team?
-
Chelsea v Hull City (PL) 18/08/13 KO 16:00 BST
I think we will win ... but Hull will make a good fight of it ... Chelsea 2 - 1 Hull ... Lukaku & Ramires to score? would be happy with this. I think we will find Aston Villa, at home a wee bit easier?

Essien - Stay or go?
Personally, i'm dreading the return of the Bison back to our midfield ... whatever the debate about how successful or not his Real Madrid season really was he has been a 'passenger' in recent years, back at the bridge ... full stop! Not his fault, those unfortunate injuries have taken a terrible toll on a once great player ... i also remember the pairing of SFL & Bison getting justifield critism for being just too slow ... a back-wards step for me ... i'd much prefer seeing somebody else given a chance ...

If that equates to 4000 Leeds then I'd estimate that we took 3 x that number to Elland Road, earlier in the season. Having attended both games I honestly thought theirs was a piss poor turn-out compared to our invasion 'op North! ... Personally, I think the gauntlet was well & truly thrown down at Leeds earlier in the season and they had no answer to our travelling numbers. I also think the unbelievable, fantasy, complete 'piss take' scoreline of 5-0! did the trick perfectly for most Chels on the day making those celebrations on the pitch, at the very end extra, extra special!

Simon, i'm sure you're right ... i can't re-call the score, on the day due to all the entertainment off it ...

Chelsea 3 - 0 West Ham I actually remember the off-field antics, more than the game itself ... We were in the Shed (middle) early doors. West Ham had a v. good turn-out that day & they continuously drifted in until they eventually more or less filled the entire North-stand terrace. The Shed End was packing to with great expectancy from all the lads around me. It was obvious, with such good numbers West Ham would try their party trick of infiltrating the Shed. Credit where credit is due ... they definitely tried ... but their plan to infiltrate the Shed went totally boss-eyed! As expected, West Ham were already silently amongst us waiting to make their move. But with approx 30 mins before kick off those directly below us got sussed and immediately started to twitch. A chain reaction immediately followed as a stream of Hammers hastily retreated down the steps. Chelsea tore into 'em from all sides. A couple of Hammers amazingly even 'pole-vaulted' the high perimeter fence to escape the onslaught ... several eventually left on stretchers. Witnessing the beating their comrades were receiving, West Ham's main mob immediately revealed themselves & piped up (they were several hundred strong, near the Bovril entrance). At this point, an equal sized CFC mob (immediately above them) steamed into West Ham's finest and forced them into the bottom corner of the Shed, near the Benches. A massive stand-off then ensued between the two opposing mobs until the Old Bill finally got their act together & intervened. A cordon was placed around West Ham and they were eventually carted off (at half-time) to the North-stand end. They were sent packing with the whole Shed singing in unison "You never took the Shed" ... which they 100% failed to do! As the first Hammers arrived in the North-stand others were still exiting the Shed end. There were that many of 'em, honest! I noticed that the numbers leaving were being enhanced by a constant stream of fellow Hammers taking this opportunity to reveal themselves and quickly slip away. I think it was Bill G & his lieutenants that stood up in the Benches also? ... so they were all there ... Under the circumstances, I thought the Shed did exceptionally well ... under attack Chelsea certainly held their own.

What is happening with Marin?
Clearly size is a factor in Marin's case ... one of the most fragile and delicate players I've ever seen in a Chelsea shirt ... Zola or Mata he most certainly ain't! ... a poor buy IMHO .... and so it's proved ... we won't see him again and I doubt any other Premiership Team will rush to buy him, that's for sure!

Josh McEachran - Future at Chelsea?
It's just not going to happen for Josh ... unfortunately ... i think this has become clear for most to see?
