José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Jose is desperately needed. Can't see it happening tho' because Jose would want the current 'jobs for the boys' management set-up rightfully disbanded and proper, qualified football people given those high profile roles of responsibility ... There'd be personality clashes with Roman's PA promoted woman & our (netball/hockey coach) technical director straight away ...

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
agree ... will always be the worst signing in premiership history, for many ... and i fear we'll be stuck with him for another year, at least! ... just can't see how we can off-load him ...

Vintage Blues pictures and film
I think it's fair to say that the numbers Chelsea took away (outside London) during the peak years to virtually all the places that mattered was very impressive indeed. I'm confident we weren't bettered by many ... Personally, I never saw the same numbers reciprocated, back at the Bridge from any of the places I visited ... I suspect many on here may have similar sentiments ...

Fantastic pic. Brings it all back! I'd estimate easily 10,000 plus that day. We also had loads in the seats (both upper & lower decks) to our left & more in the pitch-side terrace to our right. A handful in the Pompey end too (a few skirmishes). I attended most away games that year & our support was just phenomenal, at times (e.g. Leeds away, 8,000 plus, etc.). "We thought you were hard, we were wrong" I remember the whole terrace singing in unison at the Pompey end! This was also the game that ended with dozens of seats being smashed & thrown onto the pitch. Intervention from Ken Bates himself eventually calmed things down. During the game two very serious boys suddenly appeared, at the back of the terrace where I stood. They were throwbacks to the past, dress sense wise. Harrington style jackets, spiky hair. One had really long arms & shovel sized fists! They were both hyper & buzzing! It was obvious by their demeanour & conversation that they had just arrived back from the Pompey end. And by all accounts Pompey had bottled it! I wasn't surprised! Like I said they were very serious lads & we were very wary of 'em too! But thankful they were CFC. What made this 'bizarre' is that they had a couple of starry eyed "very young" nippers tagging along with 'em? They were addicted to violence! Heads constantly darting around, looking for the next piece of action! Soon enough they clocked a couple of opposing mobs shaping up either side of the right hand side terrace dividing fence & off they went ... with their little nippers in tow ... ! Anyone on here?

2013/14 Chelsea Kit Rumours
It's not bad ... but just an all blue shirt without the white go faster stripes, etc. would definitely look so much classier imho ... !

Chelsea v Man City (FA Cup) 14/04/13 KO 16:00 BST
City are the physically stronger Team ... they do what they "always" do against us and simply bully us to win ... We need a few more lumps to compete against the likes of City imho ...

Europa League: Quarter Final, who do we want?
Spurs vs Chelsea - Europa final Millwall vs Chelsea - FA Cup final Perfect end to the season methinks, hehe! If we swap Rafa for RDM 'now' it could just well happen, lol :O)

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Torres = one of, if not THE worst buy in Premiership history. vs Drogs = one of the very best buys in Premiership history. Completely different ends of the spectrum ... Drogs forever true CFC legend / Torres forever CFC's perhaps 'biggest ever' transfer mistake? Accept Premiership defences "finally" got to grip with Drogs during his latter years (European defences never did)! However, by this time Drogs had already gone down in Chelsea folklore and continued to produce for those big European nights!

Boro rivalry
During the 'hooligan years' we have had little spats of rivalry (at various times) with all 3 of the main NE Clubs, Newcastle, Sunderland & Boro. And probably in that order too? I think it's fair to say that Boro were late starters on the hooligan front. They certainly peaked during the latter years. I also think it's fair to say that our turn-outs (& occasional excursions) 'op North have generated more excitement with the locals than anything reciprocated back at the Bridge. Several trips to Sunderland immediately spring to mind :O) I went to lots of home games against the NE Clubs, over many years. Boro's turn-out, for the play-off game 'stood out'. However, by this time (off the pitch) the police had the surrounding streets pretty much sewn up. I've never regarded the NE Clubs as true rivals, that's 100% reserved for Tottenham & the likes! However, from personal memory due to various promotions/relegations, etc. I'd say Newcastle fixtures, both home & away were perhaps the most anticipated!

Rafa rant at the fans
Due to Liverpool fans **INSANE JEALOUSY** towards us in recent years ... CFC have turned "BIG TIME" against anything scouse! Fact! ... U started it and NOW we are reacting back! What do u f**king expect! Rafa represents u 'shower of sh*te' and hence, he's not welcome here! To the other Clubs trolls, think of your No.1 most hated rival Club Manager suddenly Managing your own Club. Yes, it would go down like a lead balloon. Well, that's what's happened here ... simple to understand, isn't it!

Rafa rant at the fans
Oi' Spanner ... what Team do you support ??? Then we can all make a judgement on how righteousness your fans are ...

Rafa rant at the fans
It's obviously got to him ... it would get to anyone in the end ... tbh I think the idiot(s) that put him in this untenable position in the first place are equally to blame and by all accounts emenalo is perhaps the first culprit? Personally, I'm sick of this Managerial merry-go-round and fear more of the same, in the future ... would love to see Jose return and given five years ... really would.

Race for Top 4
it's starting to look ominous ... spurs are definitely a better Team than us ... and despite Arsenal being sh*te this year they are only a couple of points behind with no cup distractions left, tbh (unlike us). They will be rested between games real soon. We're rocking (stumbling) big time thro' games and I suspect this dreadful form will continue to Season end ... we are definitely creaking at home ... our initial v. good away form has 'gone to pot' ... and trying to play Pep's Barcelona way in the Premiership wins sweet FA (as already 100% proven by the daily Arse'nal) ... we used to boss & bully games once ... now Teams simply do that to us ... pint sized Marin coming on as sub ain't gonna make a soddin' difference, etc. ... sticking with Torres has come home to roost! ... exactly who we need right now is loaned out to West Brom ... what a mess this Club has become ... it's imploding ... :O(
-
Race for Top 4
It's between us and Arsenal for fourth and it will come down to who drops the least points. We will continue to stumble thro' this season and it's very painful to watch, at times ... :O( Congratulations to the Chelsea board for this new Chelsea revolution ... Trying to turn us into Pep's Premiership version of Barcelona (as already proven by Arsenal) wins nought in this League.

Leicester rivalry
I think rivalry that exists today would include ... 1) Spurs 2) Liverpool 3) West Ham 4) Leeds 5) Millwall (should we ever play them, again) I'm 100% sure others may think differently tho' ...
