What is happening with Marin?
A very poor buy for us ... injury prone and so it proved ... plus, clearly too pint sized for the Premiership ... definitely won't play for Chelsea again.

Vintage Blues pictures and film
If this is the incident I think it is then I'm surprised it didn't get mentioned in any of the books? I remember a Man Utd. home game around this time when Man Utd bought a few thousand down tucked into the right-hand corner of the North stand terrace (from my view-point in the Shed). The game had only just begun when up went an insulting Munich banner smack-bang, right in the midst of their lot! It soon became apparent that a significant sized CFC mob had infiltrated their end! Chaos then erupted as the CFC lads windmilled outwards in all directions! Plod eventually gained control & because there were too many CFC to budge took the decision to surround the infiltrators. Unsurprisingly, the rest of the game played out with a 'very subdued' away following surrounding a very confident & vocal CFC mob shouting them down, at every opportunity (whilst doing all those airplane actions) to the delight of the rest of the watching Stadium! This was a military precision operation executed with perfection which totally achieved the desired effect ...

Moses: 4 - Underwhelmed. Marin: 2 - Too light-weight for the Premier League. Poor buy. Torres: 4 - Brill' recent form. However, poor for most of the season. Ba: 4 - Bright start then faded ...

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
clearly Rafa's not the right fit for us ... and arguably should/could have done even better ... however, the last couple of months have gone really well ... i'm pleased it's ended the way it has ...

Courtois, Lukaku and Chalobah.
all should be in the squad next year and getting games ... if they were Man Utd players Fergie would integrate them into his Man Utd line-up, sooner rather than later ...

Aston Villa v Chelsea (PL) 11/05/13 KO 12:45 BST
Villa 0 - 0 Chelsea ... due to this game being the first weekend fixture ... perhaps Villa need just 1 more point to be certain ??? Therefore, can see both Teams going at this fixture hammer & tong ... hence, feel it may be a draw ???

Underwhelmed, to be honest ... however, admittedly haven't seen all his games ...

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
a good first half shift ... faded badly second half and should have been sub'd for Ba ... blindingly obvious for all to see except our idiot Manager. However, zero penetration in the 6 yard box where it matters ...

Chelsea v Spurs (PL) 08/05/2013 KO 19:45
the chances we had should have buried this game by the middle of the 2nd half ... 3-1 up, at least ... We started a rapid decline after the substitutions ... Moses definitely ain't a Hazard ... I was underwhelmed by Moses' contribution tbh ... Benayoun ... a shocking substitution ... !!! Torres faded badly towards the end and should have been substituted for Ba ... i thought this was blindingly obvious for all to see?

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Also, for those, who suggest that he'd be OK sitting on a bench and being our back up option. Let me ask you: if Torres plays the way he does now after being a starter for so long, what do you reckon he'll look like coming off the bench here and there? He's finished as a top striker, we have to come to terms with that, take the financial hit and get rid by any means necessary. our board(or Roman's) insistence with Torres in the meantime has done his best to sabotage our chances for a top 4 finish this and last season. We pushed out Drogba; Sturridge; Kalou; Anelka and loaned out Lukaku, I'd say that there is not a single thing apart from shirt selling that Torres is considerably better at than the above mentioned players. Picked some 'spot on' points from recent posts above & strongly agree! After a 'long time' coming Torres finally had a half decent game against Basel. But the only certainty/fact being is that he will revert to his 'missing in action' form which is the general norm' pretty soon. He's holding this Team back 'big time' ... Torres just 'taking the money' and literally sitting out his remaining Contract years (the very worst scenario) will continue to hurt us due to FFP. The money we are throwing down the plug hole each week paying his ridiculous salary could definitely fund much, much better options/purchases elsewhere!

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Oh u sensitive thing u ... How did u ever cope in the Terraces days ... With all the bad language u must have been traumatised? Floppes ... i actually think sounds quite cute & cuddly ... Torres is a Flop! ... There u go! Hopefully this has toned it down a little & is now acceptable to the Post Police

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Hehe, the 'post of reason', once again Davey :O) After waiting almost a decade, the excitment Floppes generates when he shoots one on target ... well almost! ... is literally quite staggering ... When he finally 'puts one to bed' in the early rounds of the League Cup next year, against Kidderminster or the likes ... well i dread to think! ...

Race for Top 4
Certainly gonna' do it the hard way ... Man Utd away ... Villa away (due to them fighting for their Premiership survival) ... Spurs & Everton at Home! Blimey !!!! .. If we do it ... credit to the whole Team ... ! My thoughts? Man Utd = D or L Spurs = W or D Villa = D Everton = W or D Hmmm ... ? Basel = W

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Hehe! superb post Davey ... and looking forward to very similar posts for many months to come :O) Looks like we're stuck with Floppes as he (continues to) winds down his Contract and just takes the money. Unfortunately, the nightmare scenerio for the Club! ... esp. as FFP starts to bite ...

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Another Malouda / Bogarde situation developing here ... Torres is wanting to sit out his remaining Contract years with Chelsea due to money reasons only ... this is worst case scenerio for the Club ... but not unexpected, at all ... I suspect the detrimental impact Torres has on the Team will be allowed to continue ...

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22288232 Chelsea striker Fernando Torres says he expects to stay at Stamford Bridge for at least three more years. Unbearable News ... but not surprising ... the biggest mistake in the history of transfers ...
