Funnily enough Brad Pitt is excellent in it and probably why the film is getting such good reviews (I am not his greatest fan usually either).... but I just find it slow, I know some film buffs who love it though so who am I to say.

Dont mean to put people off it is worth seeing to see what the hype is about and it certainly unsual.

Does anyone still go to the cinema?

I have just started going again funnily enough ! ..

Well to tell you the truth my current girlfriend has children and it is fun to take them.

I am starting to get back into it and enjoy going to the cinema again.. just dont buy any food it is a complete rip off.......

Best thing I have seen in the past say year.. by a long shot, including so called good, oscar potential movies... Kung Fu Panda <_<

What sort of a pompus comment is that? There is life beyond your laptop y'know.

I thought the film was pretty good and Pitt was fantastic.

I was working on the basis that watching at home on a decent sound system with a big screen was infinitely more enjoyable than packing in to a theatre with sticky carpets and horrible oiks on their mobiles munching popcorn and rustling sweet wrappers. :)

You could try

"The potentially next Mrs Andy" - that might work!

Well I stuck with her a year, that is commitment ! and I take her kids to the cinema.. I think she is a very lucky lady.... I even bought her along to the shed end Pee up ! .. what more could any women want ??

I don't think women CAN pee up, Andy! Unless Val wishes to claim otherwise..?

fully agree mate. add into that you can sit with a nice cold beer/wine too and can pause it if you need the loo. also, theres nothing worse than having some horrible fat sod stinking of BO sit next to you in the cinema. ive not been to the cinema in ages, totally prefer my home cinema set up.

Now you've got me committing the sin of ENVY!! I hate sitting in the cinema with people chattering and giggling during the film, the pervasive sickly sweet smell of popcorn mingling with the disgusting "aromatic" stuff they must spray the place with. I'd rather wait till a film comes out on DVD. I'd LOVE to have a home cinema!

Well, when he says "Home Cinema" he means a 14" black and white portable telly, a betamax tape player and the sound bodged into a 1950's radiogram.

he's still got the sticky carpet and people with BO next to him though :) ::MooNeY:: :)

Not if I'm by his side, he hasn't!
