Pep Guardiola??? already one the treble with barca so could leave on a high.

would deliver that attacking football roman wants

reminds me a little of jose in the way he conducts himself with the press and on the touchline.

what you all think?

Ain't gonna happen, Ancelotti is coming and we'd better all get used to it whether we like it or not

I tend to agree - but have a feeling it's all goijng to end in tears, sooner rather than later!

No thanks.

In my opinion, the team's carried him - Avram could have probably done an even better job than Guardiola did, cosidering what he acheived last season with our squad.

With Iniesta, Xavi and Iniesta he hasn't even needed a good defence to win the treble.

Dont agree with that, its very much the same squad from last season. He just highlighted the deadwood and sold them of to gullible suckers (ho hum) and has transformed the others giving them a structure and belief that had been missing since they won the Champions League in 2006. You say the defence isnt good, but how many goals have they actually conceded ? It was a makeshift back four last night and Man Utd still wouldnt have scored if they were playing now.

Guardiola bleeds Barcelona, he is a Catalan after all. Its the best managerial appointment they couldve dreamed of making. His biggest problem will be following up the his magnificent first season, anyway he wont be leaving in a hurry, and certainly not to Chelsea anyway.

They both wear a suit, that's true. Guardiola doesn't seem to feel the need to take the pressure off his players for some reason.

An Iniesta and a Messi would be my preference, but yeah you know what I meant...

"Guardiola bleeds Barcelona" that's very true and I think that's why he's done so well, the players really want to play for him and I'm sure he's a really nice guy and all, but I'd like to see what happens when the going gets tough and his players lose some of their tremendous form.

As for their defense, I'm not sure they even need have a defense because their midfield and attack is so good. Its a bit like Van Der Sar at Man Utd, he wasn't spectacular but broke records because Rio and Vidic were so good this season. Look at their defense against us...Alves was rolling round on the ground all match because he's a c**t and couldn't handle The Great Malouda! Abidal got sent off because because he is crap and can't tackle. Puyol wasn't even playing at first because he was so bad in La Liga the week before letting in 2 goals. Pique was lost against Drogba and should have conceeded a penalty. Marquez just buckled under himself?!? The attack and midfield carries that team.

Yeah the guy came through the Barca ranks, played at the top level for 10 years, and in his first year as manager won a treble...doubt he is going anywhere.

Someone mentioned Zola could be the Guardiola for us. See even their names rhyme. I would love if we got Zola and Clarke rather than Ancelotti. But the problem we seem to have is that of patience. If Guardiola hadn't won anything this season, I dont think he would have been shipped back to reserves or thrown out of the door. The hunger for instant success is eating us.

Pepe "living and breathing Barcelona" Guardiola? Are you serious? He has already won almost everything with Barcelona but come on. The guy was Barca legend as a player and now he is legend as a coach there so there is no chance. He is the new king in Barcelona!

We should take Barcelona's route on how to pick a new manager though. We have living (and young) Chelsea legends coaching why not try one of them: DiMatteo, Zola, Deschamps(not really a legend here), Wise...even as an assistant manager.

There's more to it than that Liam...they both wear Armani suits ;)

He has to already be a barca legend, why would he jeopardize that by coming to us? That'd be like Terry playing for us, leaving to become manager, and in his first year coaching wins us the League, Fa Cup and Champions League all in his first season. No way he's leaving

okay i know the new manager is in place but to even consider this man would be a joke.

he just picks the team and the team do the work for him.

useless

I think Pique and Keita might be new, other than that it was mostly exporting like bjd said.

they spent 95m euros.

they spent 95m euros.

surely your lying. i heard they actually gave other teams money for no reason whatsoever, any players they signed were actually orphans with knowhere else to go and every single one lived within 8 foot of the nou camp.
