Posted August 6, 200915 yr Scott Sinclair gone to Wigan on a season long loan according to Sky Sports
August 6, 200915 yr Good for him. I dont think he'd have come anywhere near the Chelsea first team anyway. Does all this really point to us getting a marquee player finally.
August 6, 200915 yr Great news! One last chance for Sinclair to show that he might have a future at Chelsea. Very important season for both Di Santo and Sinclair.
August 6, 200915 yr Great news! One last chance for Sinclair to show that he might have a future at Chelsea. Very important season for both Di Santo and Sinclair. I agree, I hope they both get a bit of playing time, at least he'll be in the top division so lets see if he can cut it with the big boys! really wish him well, he has the pace and bags of potential, time to start fulfilling it.
August 6, 200915 yr SINCLAIR WIGAN LOANPosted on: Thu 06 Aug 2009 Scott Sinclair has today joined Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of the season. The winger, 20, spent half of last season with Birmingham City, helping them to Premier League promotion after a low key start to the campaign here with the Blues, where he made four appearances. The England Under 19 international arrived at Chelsea in 2005 from Bristol Rovers, aged just 16, and having already made a league debut for the Pirates. A Chelsea debut came in early 2007, and was followed by a loan spell at Plymouth Argyle, where he scored one of the FA Cup's goals of the season, a mazy solo effort against Barnet. His first Chelsea goal came against Hull in the Carling Cup that September, before further temporary spells in that campaign away from Stamford Bridge at QPR, Charlton and Crystal Palace. Scott travelled with the squad on this summer's US Tour, playing 45 minutes in games against Seattle Sounders and Club America, and now links up with Roberto Martinez's side for his first top flight loan. August 6, 200915 yr Yeah, we don't want any youngsters in the squad learning from world class players it might mean we have to play them
August 6, 200915 yr Good. And like Sindre pointed out that's his last chance to show he can cut it at that level. Good luck Scotty!
August 6, 200915 yr How many loan deals is that now ? I make it 5. I suspect if Scott was gonna make it with us it wouldve happened by now. I doubt we will see him in a Chelsea shirt again, such a shame as we all had huge expectations of him.
August 6, 200915 yr absolultley right bjd, as I see it the only reason he has gone out on laon AGAIN is simply to put him in the shop window.
August 6, 200915 yr Yep, and we know that 1. Wigan do have money to burn after the sale of Palacios and Valencia 2. They need a pacey winger now that the latter has gone so it probably makes very good business sense to send him there. Shame, but I just can't see him in Chelsea blue. August 6, 200915 yr I'm happy these guys have gone to Prem sides where I can watch them every week. Unless of course it goes the same way as in Sahar's case. Edited August 6, 200915 yr by rahuldotchelsea
August 6, 200915 yr Bloody hell, do we have any youngsters left? Joking aside, this is a pretty good deal. With Valencia out of the way, he should get some playing time in a reasonably strong Premiership side. I hope he proves himself.
August 6, 200915 yr Wigan and Blackburn...poor guys! Why not just be done with it and send them to the Siberian gulags?! If it's intended as a shop window for Sinclair, then it'll be a pound shop or Netto at a push!
August 6, 200915 yr The Daily Mail's headline for this is "Biggest shock of the transfer season".....really? I'm not even English and I'm beginning to realize that site is a joke.

August 6, 200915 yr Here's to Franco and Scotty scoring some vital winning goals against certain teams that play in red
August 6, 200915 yr Good to see a number of our young players on loan at bigger clubs, hopefully they get played not like Sahar at Portsmouth last season. We've got Rajkovic and Stoch at Twente, Bertrand and Reading, Di Santo at Blackburn and Sinclairs now at Wigan, hopefully some of them will get into our 1st team squad.
August 7, 200915 yr This is actually part of a massive plan for next season. We're selling our entire first-team squad and replacing them all with our now finely-tuned youngsters. Trust me... Di Santo to outscore Torres next year.
