C'mon hands on heart has JT really been in the top 50 players in the world in 2009 ? Has he actually been in the top 50 defenders ? Despite his undoubted brillance and great start to the season does Didier really deserve a nomination? From what i can recall he only started playing in April. Ditto Essien.

Are you seriously telling me Edin Dzeko or even our own Alex havent played as well as Luis Fabiano or Carlos Puyol ?

gotta agree, i never understand how they make this list. why not just change it to "WORLDS MOST WELL KNOWN FOOTBALLERS LIST" and be done with. is this the one voted for by international managers? theres always some very odd choices by the more obscure managers.

That was a joke giggs winning the pfa players award, purely sentimental. I would say the two most surprising nominations in the chelsea lads for me was ballack and JT. Lamps deserves to be there as he has just come off a great season

Although, I too would love Lampard to get 3rd, but I think his early season poor form will make him miss out.
