You would think the way their season's gone so far, that they'd just crack on in silence! Not so, 1 win into the Europa also rans and they're confident of winning the trophy, and all this after beating some Romanian minnows 1-0.....at home! 'kin clowns!!

theyve got nothing else to cheer about mate, f****d up every other comp theyve been involved in this season,

dont think they're good enough to win this one either.

As long as Liverpool wont win the Europa-League this year I´m happy with every team actually, I hope for Rubin Kazan and Hamburg to win it. Hamburg has Ze Roberto back, and made a good signing in van Nistelrooy, I really think they will pick up some momentum now.

How come the Dippers are playing on Sunday when their game isn't on the telly?

Surely there must be some explanation for this? ;)

Dunno why this sint on telly anyway. Although obviously hate them with a passion, this should be a good game. o well stream it is

A looooot of reports/commentaries I've read/listened to have all been making reference to how quiet their fans have been of recent. Remember though - best fans in the land.

we defintley need more than one player. We have to look to the future now, just look at the squads average age.

how exactly would a centre back not fit into our squad ? Especially if we lose Percy?

And you don't think the two quality argentine attacking players would benefit us, or do you want us to keep Kalou?

And wasnt it a late goal from their equivalent of Kalou? lol

only 1 team from merseyside going to be winning the europa league and it aint them murdering, deluded rats ::ChELSeAFaN::

I heard it was utterly silent during the Unirea game, and that didnt escape comment on bbc. Its almost as if they have given up hope and no longer care.

I saw a couple of weeks ago during the merseyside derby they had a massive "Steaua Bucharest 1986 European Cup champions" banner. Apparrently this is a jibe toward Everton, who claim they would have been good enough to win the cup had Heysel not happened. Good to see that, when the going gets tough, the dippers can still make a punchline out of them harming opposition fans :D Or was it UEFA's incompotence that made that banner?

(here is the article if anyone wants to see it: http://www.nsno.co.uk/news-5638.html)

agreed, if tosser or stevie starfish leave in the summer and fat rafa doesnt get all the money to spend i reckon we'd have a squad to match or better theirs. Too early for talk like that though. PS really hope u beat the inbreds to the title

If we consider the overall depth and quality of the squad, maybe your's is already better than their's. Apart from Starfish and Torres, they have not a single player who is of the quality of Arteta, Cahill, Fellaini, Jagielka etc. Moreover, with Rodwell, Gosling etc coming through the ranks you have a much better depth.

However, you would have to keep hold of a majority of your current squad to be able to topple them next season.

My best wishes!

You can stay ^_^

PS- would love for you to beat them in the final of the Europa cup.

me and a couple of mates were talking about this in a boozer on sunday, one was a toffee one was a dipper. and we all agreed that evertons squad is now stronger than liverpools, even the dipper admitted it.

Everton was struggling at the start of the season with so many injuries, always thought they were in a false position but how much complaining did Moyes do...?

Compare that to fat Rafa who has signed and sold so many players in his time at Liverscum that if his squad cant cope with lets face it there only 2 decent players injured he has nobody to blame but himself.

Considering Everton have hardly had a fit forward all season you'd have to say Moyes is doing a great job and now those players have started to come back they've climbed the table and could still force their way into contention for Europe.

You wont find anybody on here against a power shift in Liverpool, or even a land shift resulting in the red half of the city falling into the sea.

Alot of people up here are talking about a powershift on merseyside. Be interesting to hear what u lot reckon.

I, and im sure many here, hope and pray it will happen. Your team is certainly an easy neutral to root for, and many of your players are very likeable. But I dont think you will ever take that final step until ownership issues get sorted out. I like Bill Kenwright, and he seems like a good chairman, but he has got to find that owner in the Randy Lerner-mould. Someone who is modestly wealthy, will come in, sanction about 20-25m worth of money every summer, and let the manager make his team. Obviously if you stamp out all those poor early season starts, you would be in among the big boys every year right until the end.

Its amazing you guys havent found a wealthy owner, or at least new investment, given that Moyes has shown the ability to build a contender every year. But its probably good to be picky as there are alot of jokers running around now, promising alot but delivering ruin (ahem, pompey). Kenwright seems like a very smart guy, so I hope he will find that modest but committed owner in future.

I would agree with rahul, though. IMO your squad top to bottom is a better team than the dippers, who still have a few world class talents that would get into your team, but not much else to back them up. Torres, Gerrard and maybe Glen Johnson would get into your starting 11.

kenwright really splits opinion amongst evertonians, most believe we will have to prize everton football club out of his cold dead hands, i really can't forgive him for turning randy lerner down. He tried to buy us before villa.

I had to laugh....reading this!

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez gets grilled by Romania's press and asked: Why are you so fat?
