charierre Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Just a quickie for anyone wanting to see him in action. He's just scored a superb goal. Not the best quality stream but I'm watching here
Bez Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Just saw the first half highlights yeah was a great goal, shame he's likely to miss pre season matches would of loved to see him.
Maksimov Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Thanks for the link. I just saw the replay of Kakuta's goal.
Bez Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Missed his goal :( how was it? Defender gave the ball away with a poor pass he cut right inside through the middle, went past the player who gave away the ball with such pace and did a skill to get past the last defender and smashed it bottom right hand corner i think it was, all happened so fast. His pace is immense with skill as well.
Maksimov Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) Missed his goal :( how was it? There was a poor pass from the Dutch and the French hit them on the counter attack. Kakuta put the ball through the defender's legs, ran past him and then put the ball in to the right corner of the goal. Edited July 18, 2010 by Maksimov
charierre Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 Some good touches from Kakuta. The french on the whole were quite impressive esp in the first half.

dkw Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 It was a very clinical finish and showed just how good he could be. But once again the d**khead commentating came out with a load of sh*te about how he has zero chance of ever playing for chelsea and how bad it was that he had never even made his 1st team debut. Maybe someone should remind him that hes only just turned 17 for f**ks sake.
Tim Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Guess the commentator missed the Wolves game then, eg dkw! That is pathetic that they try and have a pop at us for not making a 16/17 year old a regular in a title winning first team, shame on us! Fortunately we know Carlo and Co are acutely aware of how good he is and will manage his development properly.
Valerie Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 The tiny bar steward is scoring against Holland, what is he thinking :)

Hutch Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 from Sky: Chelsea attacker Gael Kakuta believes he has nothing to feel guilty about following his controversial transfer from Lens. The 19-year-old Frenchman moved to Stamford Bridge back in 2007, although the Ligue 1 club were outraged at his switch to the Premier League. Lens claimed the player's move was in breach of his contract and last year Fifa banned Kakuta from playing for four months and barred Chelsea from making any signings in the next two transfer windows. The sanctions were subsequently rescinded following an appeal from the Blues to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, ruling that he did not have a legitimate contract with Les Sang et Or despite spending eight years with the club. Kakuta does not believe he did anything wrong regarding his transfer, and does not feel guilty. He told L'Equipe: "I was calm. I had nothing to feel guilty about. "I couldn't care less. I went on working. That is football, you know." LINK
Andreas Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 They (france) won gold, 2-1 against spain and kakuta one man show for the 2nd goal!

Bez Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 CAEN, France (AP) — Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta set up Alexandre Lacazette for a late winning goal Friday as France rallied to beat Spain 2-1 to win the under-19 European Championship for the second time. With five minutes remaining, Kakuta took the ball and spun around in midfield, dribbling past the two central defenders with sudden changes of direction. Kakuta's shot was saved by goalkeeper Alex, but he followed up and chipped the ball perfectly for Lacazette to head in at the far post. He's the real deal, after watching him in the U19's throughout he's my vote to be one of the worlds best players in 3-5 years time completely in a class of his own compared with everyone else on the pitch. I hope he get's lot's of chances this season in the first team, he's just explosive!
Andreas Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) I linked the wrong video, my mistake >< heres the real deal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-Y6HSFPo4Q&annotation_id=annotation_408681&feature=iv And from the site I read about the goal it seems clear to me that kakuta was the one to score, but he actually set it up, in style tho. My mistake for the misleading topic name. Edited July 30, 2010 by AndyCFC
Maksimov Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 heres the real deal. I wonder why Platini is looking so glum. Judging by the look on his face, you'd think France had just lost the match.
mad_mac Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 The u-19's save the face of French Football. Also, I really hope we give this guy a chance. I think we could have him in the squad straight away and quell all these "creative mid" rumours.
Hutch Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 here's what the official site has to say: KING KAKUTA IN FRANCE Gael Kakuta created the winning goal as France claimed the Uefa Under 19 European Championship on home soil with victory over Spain on Friday evening. The Frenchman joins English Under 17 internationals Josh McEachran and Nathaniel Chalobah (still a schoolboy) in becoming a European champion, following their success earlier in the summer when they also triumphed over the Spanish. Kakuta played the full 90 minutes as France came from behind to win 2-1 in Caen, northern France, and it was from his cross that Alexandre Lacazette headed home the winner five minutes from time. Spain had taken the lead early on when Liverpool forward Daniel Pacheco set up Rodrigo to finish, but Arsenal man Gilles Sunu's equaliser four minutes into the second half gave France hope of avoiding their cruel defeat to Spain in the 2008 Under 17 Final (11 players who started that game also began this one, including Kakuta). The Chelsea man forced Spain goalkeeper Alex into a smart save but moments later had the last laugh as he dinked in a delicate cross for Lacazette to head home. France are the second successive hosts, following Ukraine, to lift the Under 19 title. LINK
sdsdsdsd Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 We should keep buying from France, have had so much success from that league in the past
