Agreed. And frankly, Torres alone would have been quite exciting, but I think this shows some long term thought too. Hearing that the deal was back on, and knowing the club were spending serious bucks, I knew that they mustve had an ace in the hole. I cant efffing wait to see this guy play.

I am going to miss Matic, but we have turned a 1.5m player into a makeweight worth 5m, and that is good business by any stretch. And given how he was rated around the club, I am sure there is a first refusal or a buyback clause in there.

Yes. Obviously the bought Luiz to play him so I can't imagine he doesn't start in the short term. Ivan is a better player then Bosingwa however fortunately they offer very different things. You can start Ivan but if you need a goal at the end of a match Bossy can come on for a more attach minded option. Of course depending on the matchup Bosingwa could start and Ivan is a great luxury for the bench. Who knows about when Alex returns however there won't be a rush/pressure on him.

We need to tie down Ivanovic's new contract before we start messing him around too much.

Well, if we mess with Bossie we will lose him on a free. Play them all, rotate like hell, we will need Bossie for the CL matches, and let Alex get fit in good time. Get the defenders all inked to contracts, and then when the summer comes, Bossie can be shipped on to recoup some of his fee.

that is a beautiful thing. If he comes good, we can have him for a decade, or possibly, sell him on for probably 2 or 3 times his fee if he comes as good as we think. And even if he doesnt work out as expected, a team like Madrid, Inter, Barca or Milan will probably fork over just as much as paid today because he is so young and full of potential

I know it sounds spoiled, and that Ramires was a great buy too, but we just got the top prospect in the world at his position. That is fecking exciting.

Good lad. Its great to see that, and from what few clips I have seen (and dozens of still of him clutching and kissing that badge) his cup runneth over with passion. I still can barely believe we got him when I was resigned to a bidding war we would lose w/ Real and City after him.
