We need to win every game between now and the end of the season i don't think we'll win the title but I'd like us to push United as far as we can. For me its important to end highly for next season.

A win and nothing less is what we need if we want to keep the pressure on united, if Arsenal can do us a favour and if we win this game then its game on at Old Trafford in May..

Really hope the boys treats this one as a cup final because its a massive game unless we want to gift united the title!

We battered them at WHL and didn't get the 3 points we deserved, we're in much better form than we were then, in contrast they are in decline, we have to win!

As much as I'm pleased for Torres, IMO Drogba has to start. I wouldn't mind seeing a front 3 of Malouda, Drogba and Torres though with Drogba on the right.

If we beat Spuds and Arse beat Utd, Utd cannot be crowned champs until May 15th earliest, meaning they wont be crowned champs if they do beat us at OT (couldnt handle that), and it also means they cant take their foot off the gas due to the pressure were putting on them with this late surge.

This won't happen, but I've been thinking how well we might play with wingers that would actually cross the ball. This would mean our RB (hopefully not Bosingwa) can stay back and defend.

Made up this formation - looks pretty good to me, but yes, I'm aware it's not the best time in the season to be trying new things and won't happen anyways.

Zhirkov is not a winger I've never seen him run past anybody. He has scored 1 goal in 2 years. Poor signing and waste of 18 mill. I know he wasn't carlo's signing so I don't blame him

I wouldn't play drogba and torres together and I'm unsure who should start, gut says drogs and heart says torres. Think we should play same team as last 2 wins with ramires instead of essien

Zhirkov is not a winger I've never seen him run past anybody.

It's not the way he rolls(he does it, but not often). He plays one twos with other players, runs into space and makes crosses(best passer and crosser from our left sided players). We have seen only glimpses of the real Zhirkov while he's been at Chelsea, though(injuries haven't helped). He was bought before Carlo came here and I don't think Carlo has quite figured how to play him.

Fully agree... And the big big question for this game is who starts up front? I say start with Drogba with Torres coming on into 2nd half again - defo a hard decision/conundrum for Carlo tho.

It shouldn't be hard. Drogba has been one of our best players lately. He should learn his lesson from the champs league f**k up.

I hope we absolutely batter them with for obvious reasons. But also because that'll really put the pressure back on United. By Sunday it'd be good if we were 3 points behind them with a superior GD before they played Arsenal.

I believe Ramiers and Alex are available for this and Carlo hinted that Drogs and Torres could both start in an interview after West Ham. If he's figured out how to use them together effectively it'll be a great day.

Not the diamond in this game midfield will be to packed. I'd play 433 not sure if kalou can perform on the big stage tbh, so maybee malouda torres drogba or malouda drogba anelka or malouda torres with benni but he could drop a lil back and look for nando??

Maybe it is too much a risk to try Torres and Drogba together for this one. I do like to see Benayoun get a start in place of Kalou, or Malouda. He is a creative player and can provide width too.

ROFL do we have a section for best joke of the day? Zhirkov IS a winger, the fact is that we have not played him as one. I suppose thats his fault.... He was Hiddinks signing, but what does he know? He's gotten what, maybe 2-3 starts in his preferred positions in those 2 years. So far this season he has 2 assists and created 2 penalties in 6 EPL starts inluding giving us the penalty we needed to beat Man U..... Not bad for a player getting no time and when he does, often out of his natural position.

Anyways, start with the same lineup vs West Ham and make changes as needed. Carlo has a stacked deck no so he should be able to change the game when/if it needs it

I agree Zhirkov is underrated here. He's fallen second to Malouda and Cole on his side though, shame he doesn't play on the right.

Spurs and Everton have become games I get very nervous watching.
