Amazing it was neglected as a passenger train route for so long. Standing in the Shed the only trains that used to by were those really long trains that I think transported sand- think it might have been a Tarmac operation. Sometimes looking at the train was more interesting than the game

It was also used to transport nuclear waste of I'm not mistaken

You just know VAR would have ruled it out !

If VAR had been on the go during that game.  I just wonder just how many of the players would have actually still been on the pitch at the time of that goal !!

It was brutal, but no acting or feigning injury.

McCreadie's airborne tackle was stunning, and no one ran to the ref bawling their eyes out.

Osgood looks over briefly at the linesman after his goal to make sure the flag wasn't up. .. Then straight into celebrations ,👌👌👌

Hutch trading punches with Hunter in the centre circle, Cooke threatening I’m not sure who with a right hander, Eddie Mac’s king fu job on Bremner and -  the highlight - Ronnie’s chop on Gray let everyone know we were not the Southern Softies that cnut Revie said we were.  Up the Chels.  Can you imagine how some of the useless plonkers playing for us today would have managed …   I was 11 when this marvellous moment in our history happened, watched it in my Jim Jams with my Dad.  28m watched it live - check the records - mind you it was on BBC and ITV, and there were only 3 channels in 1970 - haha.

I wonder what the viewing figures for BBC2 were that night.

Was sort of considered to be like BBC4 is now BBC2 in the early 70's a few comedy programmes but I always remember it for shows like Horizon and The Money Programme which no kids watched and of course the Open University.
