Looks like before the rain! Pissing down when Flash scored. I was on a floodlight pylon on the terrace in the corner. Our lot in the seats behind the paddock were singing “If we lose  we’ll wreck your ground, Bolton Bolton” They turned and gave it Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! Then the seats and coins started raining down!! Hope that the picture

Hi Richard. Know you were up a down the country watching the super blues as a kid and are a great font of knowledge. Out of interest, how many grounds have you been to?

Wasnt given that latitude by my parents alas. Always felt jealous of my best mate at school who when I started secondary was allowed to go on West Ham specials up north- at 12 years old on paper round money!

Have a brother nearly ten years older. So I was ten in 1978. Was able to go London Derbies and Watford. Not the 4-0 Wham in 81!!

Bolton 83 was my debut away still 14 and then as long as not a school night started going away as much as possible.

The caption with this one suggests that it shows some of our mob getting stuck in at Burndon Park v Bolton in 83.  Whether it is before or after Flash Walker’s screamer is not clear.  Can anyone clarify?

Wasn’t there myself but I believe loads spent the weekend in Blackpool.

When Wembley was in transition and finals were played in Cardiff, many of us spent an enjoyable couple of days in Weston Super Mare or Porthcall.

Cup Final replay 1970, Old Trafford, evening ko.  Leeds captain Billy Bremner on the deck, presumably as a result of a whack from a blue shirt.  Left to right; Norman Hunter (who swapped punches with Hutch at Wembley and at OT during the match, Ossie, the Ref Mr Jennings, Jack Charlton (back to camera, Bremner, John Hollins and Leeds trainer Les Cocker.

Leeds’ Mick Jones looks as if he may have taken a nudge from Chopper who is on the left of the photo.  Hutch, John Hollins and Johnny Giles look on.

My first outing on a special! Which was packed, so probably a lot of others did the Blackpool trip. Not a lot drove to games back then.

Whatever happened to JH’s son Chris Hollins? Really good TV presenter. Had a chat with him in Battersea park maybe 15 years back. He lived over the road on Prince of Wales drive and used to use the tennis courts. Nice guy

Chris currently hosts and produces his series Golf's Greatest Holes, which is shown by 36 broadcasters, including Sky Sports, Bloomberg and NBC Golf Pass; reaching 189 countries and 1.5 billion households. The first season of the popular six-part series followed Chris and former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley as they travelled around Ireland and Northern Ireland playing their favourite golf courses while taking in the beautiful Irish scenery. The second series based in Portugal premiered in April 2023. Both series are available to view on Sky Sports and on demand via NBC's GolfPass subscription service. In July 2020 Chris produced FORE, a series for Sky Sports Golf presented by Tour star Tommy Fleetwood, featuring golf's funniest videos.

He regularly hosts his own shows on BBC Radio Berkshire and previously co-presented the BBC's flagship consumer rights series Watchdog as well as outdoors gems like Secret Britain for BBC One.

Loved Johnny Holllins. Didn’t catch him first time around, but remember him from the 84 promotion team. By f**k could he smash a penalty. Friends with Arsenal fans who rated him when over there. Grey up in Guildford-,bit rare con that not many footballers, then and now, came from the sticks

Mickey Thomas had an interesting life away from football.

Seems to recall something about dodgy bank notes ?

He could definitely pull some strokes. Reckons he was the first ten grand a week footballer…courtesy of his bank note printing press
