August 30, 201312 yr ARSENAL v CHELSEA THE CLOCK END 1970 That picture with the TV Camera Stand at Highbury reminds me of the model TV stand you used to get for Subbuteo !
August 30, 201312 yr Remember the floodlights in subbuteo loved them. I remember the amount of times they came crashing down onto the corner kicker.

August 30, 201312 yr Aaahhhh subbuteo. That game caused so many arguments up and down the country i think it deserves a thread of its own. Agree with that! I had too many pitch invasions from my youngest sisters cat, no respect for the game!
August 30, 201312 yr Yeh my pitch invasions came from my cat mostly although nearly EVERY sunday my grandad would come home from the pub at lunchtime " who remembers the days in England when EVERYTHING either closed at lunchtimes or didnt open at all on sundays? " and proceed to drunkenly invade what i liked to call Stamford Bridge or for important games Wembley and shatter the legs and sometimes careers of my tiny footballers. I lost count at the amount that ended up having pitch side surgery " by my own private surgeon A.K.A My Nan, and ended up playing their career out from the waist upwards. I managed to keep hold of most of my Subbuteo stuff until the late 90's then made the mistake of handing it all down to a young family member, it didnt enter my mind that kids from that generation were never going to grasp the enjoyment those little pieces of plastic could bring next stop the dustbin. Haha my Dad just reminded me of when i tried to reproduce the tragedy that happened in 1985 at Valley Parade and ended up with lighter fuel all over the living room, he caught me just intime thank f**k. Not very funny i know but i was only 11 and wasnt a normal child LOL.

September 1, 201312 yr Ah my keyboard is working now!! Was posting about my subbuteo electronic scoreboard after Agentina 78. Took ages to cut up all the teams with electric bulb effect text! Also why were all the trophies about five times bigger than the players!

September 4, 201312 yr Can't believe Chelsea T V could only put together a 15 minute programme to celebrate 30 year anniversary of the 1983/84 season. With what we have achieved in the last ten or so years, that season supporting Chelsea home and away is still up there as one of my best seasons. I only missed four away games and was at all home games. Would of been nice if they could have put more game time and goals in the programme. I know from previous posts in the 135 pages on this thread, there have been some great recollections of that great season. Maybe they should of asked some of us to relive what was a great time in "our" history.
