To Eddie Mac and Carlshalton, I agree with all the above. Can't believe a true blue would make money off the back of another fan. What about trying an evening at Chelsea in say Drakes or Dixons. Where all tapes or discs could be shown to an audience. If Chelsea could charge an amount that could be covered by the fans and both places have a bar which I'm sure would make money!! Also be a good meeting place for people on this site. I know E Mac is in Sweeden(hope that's right!) but if he makes a trip to England at any stage, do you think it possible?

Hi Richard P

I am actually London based not Sweden.

The chappy selling the 60's Match of the Day's and 1960's and 70's Big Matches is a fella named Simon, I am familiar with him, the Match of the Day's he sells he was the originator of those, as recorded on Swedish TV, but all those Big Matches and the BBC Live game 1983-84 at City originate from me. I sourced those games and the ITN footage ( the poor coverage from ITN Source if from their website)

As for playing my footage for the fans, I don't think Chelsea would allow that as they would have to pay the TV companies, bla bla bla

Cheers mate

any idea why I can't access ITN source videos on IPhone? Also I take it I can't access ipswich a 77/78 and west ham a 77/78 because you had to take them down because people copying them.

Remember the 4-3 win when they won the league mid eighties, they were lobbing golf balls over all through the game then melted afterwards.....always used to stick together up there.

Blimey yes I remember that day, the home game was on telly which was rare in those days sadly we lost one nil and I remember Canoville wanted to fight an Everton player at the end of the game I think his name was bailey? Black curly hair but that could be most of Liverpool!  Back to the away game I was also on the edge hill special and then a bus to the ground. Actually it was my first time to Liverpool and I was allowed to go with my mates because it was the xmas holidays . Fantastic result for us, Evertons best season in my life time and wasn't it the year everyone got booted out of Europe thanks to the fun loving scousers from the other side of Stanley park? We got in the ground late which seemed to be a trend for me with specials to Liverpool and so didn't have any problems with low flying golf balls as I was towards the back of the terrace but I believe they made the newspaper. I've been to Everton twice and have had no problems with them outside the ground its always been the other muppets down the road. Over the years Liverpool heroes have slashed one of my mates legs and mugged another, no time for 'em!

Hi Richard P

ITN Source cannot be viewed on iPad or iPhone as those devices does not support Flash player.

You should be able I believe to view on Andriod systems.

I did lock the above games and the majority I posted because of a couple of copiers on here who didn't appreciate you seeing them and would rather you buy from them.

Until I find a way to block them I cannot put anymore rare games as they are just waiting for me to just that.

Thanks for the heads up. Will look on my laptop instead. Can't wait to see the ipswich and west ham games, my first season as a blue!! Nice to see that Yellow kit again.
Brother bought me the home kit for my tenth birthday. From the great Megastore sorry portacabin!! Don't remember seeing the yellow there. The shop near the tube seemed to have better stuff than in the ground. Thought the yellow/ green kit was the first production kit for fans to buy. Back then you got your money's worth same home kit 77/78 78/79 79/80 80/81!! Before going to Le coq sportif. Money Chelsea would lose now if they did that!!!!

 Hi Richard P

The 1978-79 wasn't the first production kit, I think it was from 1976-77 the promotion shirts, home and away, as on my match DVD's you see some supporters wearing them.

Below is my 1975-1977 away

And 1978-79 yellow green

EMBW,

I really cannot associate that red shirt and shorts combination with Chelsea, the red green and white combination was just about tolerable / liked the bar scarf though.

The yellow and green not much better either.

Hi Nitro

Possibly our best ever away kit in my opinion was the 1970-71 combo of yellow shirts and blue shorts with the yellow stripe, the shirt with the FA Cup embroidery. The 1977-78 all yellow with blue trim as above closely follows.

All the others were not that good even up till today. I hated the Kerry Dixon era shirts apart from the 1985-86 Le Coq home kit

The two games at Anfield 84-86 blur into one for me unfortunately.  I remember lots, but not sure which of these things happened at which game.  We drew one of them 1-1 (late goal to them and later equaliser from wee Pat) and lost 4-3 (Grobelaar rugby tackled Dixon and we didn't get the penner).  Both games I went in the Anniae Road seats.  One of those games Rangers came down en masse.  One of those times someone (Hickey?) bought 600 seats in advance and was selling them on the service train up there.  After one of the matches Chelsea came out the Annie Road seats and a large mob of scallies was assembled on the other side of the road.  One charge was all it took to have them on their toes.  They fired a distress flare, and as I type this bit I am sure I've told this story before on here so sorry for that.

Went to both of those games. I think the one where Rangers turned up was one of those stupid early kick-off's they tried for a while.

There were coach loads of them (I think they must of travelled all night, party hats & balloons everywhere).

We got to the game late on our coach and parked in the home coach park.

Coming out we were met by a few young chaps with blades whose only intention was to slice and run.

One of the few times I was grateful to see the Old Bill.

That was an 1130 kick off, 84 I think? I'd forgotten about the early ko until you mentioned it. I think I got to the ground off those buses 15 mins late. Loads of Rangers there had a great singing comp with them after the game, not quite x factor style. All I can remember after the game is a few of our fellas chasing some sh*t down the road who where standing around the coaches. I even think Kerry Dixon was injured that day, good memories, that's when I can remember them, lol!
