A shame that the picture is in two parts. Great players with modern shirts. Picture was taken to mark the anniversary of the FA Cup win 1970. Sadly three of the players are no longer with us.

I think that the leader of the team wore the number 7 shirt in the final.

Chelsea v Barcelona Arguments rage and the Swiss referee Othmar Huber is surrounded by hot-tempered players at Stamford Bridge, London. The trouble started when Barcelona left-back Silvestre Eladio (No.3) was ordered off by the referee for hacking at John Hollins, the Chelsea right-half. Amongst the Chelsea players in the picture are left-half, Ron Harris (No.6), and centre-half, Marvin Hinton. For Barcelona, left-half Montesinos (No.6), centre-half Torres, right-half Gallego. Chelsea won the game 2-0, but meet the Spaniards once more in a play-off. 12th May 1966 Stock Photo
Fairs Cup Semi Final Second Leg in May 1966. v Barcelona.
The ref surrounded by players. The trouble started when Barcelona left-back Silvestre Eladio (No.3) was ordered off by the referee for fouling John Hollins. Looks like Chopper Harris is our No 6.
Chelsea v AC Milan Milan defenders remonstrate with Bridges, the Chelsea outside left, and Tambling, their outside right, after Milan goalkeeper Balzini (on ground) had been injured in making a save during the Inter Cities Fairs Cup, third round second leg match at Stamford Bridge. 16th February 1966. Looks like ‘a bit of a disagreement’😀between Barry Bridges and the AC Milan team. Feb 1966.

Chelsea v Hull City Marvin Hinton, the Chelsea centre half crashes a shot through a crowd of Hull City defenders but goes wide of the goal. 26th March 1966. Stock Photo
In this picture,Marvin Hinton looks like he’s playing ‘dead man’s fall!’ 😀

Match ended 2-2,  Chelsea had a 2 goal lead (Tambling and Graham) then gave up a goal on 85' and another on 89'. Sound familiar? We won the replay 3-1

Hull brought thousands to the Bridge and filled the Shed.  You can just see a Chelsea banner at the very back
