Chelsea F.C. Training at Stamford Bridge for their FA Cup Quarter Final Replay away to Arsenal at Highbury: Chelsea midfielder John Hollins...

Group of footballers from Chelsea FC with their cars outside Stamford Bridge Stadium in London, UK, 21st December 1964. David Webb of Chelsea tries his hand at photography during a photocall at Stamford Bridge on February 28, 1970 in London, England.

Fremlins beer advertised in the third picture. That takes me back. Used to drink it back in the eighties. In the bottom picture it looks like one of the cameras Webby is carrying is a Hasselblad. A popular camera with professional photographers.

Man Utd in March 1966. We won 2-0. Bobby Tambling 1st min. George Graham 5th min.
Officially a crowd of 60,269 saw it.

Photo Caption: Police removing some of the young supporters from the track. This caused a delay in the kick-off for 12 minutes.

Was there, shed was full of United, next season we got there about 1.30 only to find the shed already packed with em again. Had to stand over near the Bovril side of the shed, the rest of the ShedEnders stood under the old North stand at the other end..

Edit... United used to swamp every ground. I think West Ham had a big barney one game up the south bank.

The year Utd won 6 something at Upton Park , Utd fans were attacked in the streets etc before the game .

From a United fan blog about the 1967 game from a west ham fan ...

"was the same age as you and I remember the beating very well. You mention a ‘bit of crowd’ trouble well I remember it as a bit more than that with outbreaks nearly all through the game especially as the outcome of the result was all over very quickly. I also remember having the palm of my hand cut open as I was walking through the crowd probably by someone holding a broken bottle in their hand. No segregation in those days so it was bound to a UTD fan! lol. I also remember running battles on the tube tracks at Upton Park Station after the match and they had to turn off the electricity. Those were the days eh? I must say it was a great MUFC team in those days. From an ageing Hammer"

JJ - one of John Neal’s best signings - he really got us and the clench fist salute as he ran out to warm up, home or away, got us going - not that we needed it.  Could not find a clenched fist photo, does anyone have one?  Apparently he is not so well these days - anyone know the latest?

Joey Jones performs his familiar clenched fist salute

Gate 13.Can’t find a picture of Joey Jones in famous clenched fist salute. The one below is the best I can do, so far.

Spoke with Micky T last year. He goes to see Joey a lot, dementia is getting worse and is not to good.

Like a lot of sufferers, his short term memory is bad but his long term memory is ok.
