October 9, 20214 yr We were the first fans to sit home and away others followed, this for a couple of years was the only place to watch Chelsea.

Absolutely pissed down that night never seen anything like it home or away I wasn't at Tromso 😁. If we won we would have qualified for Europe which didn't matter as a few weeks later Heysel happened. If it wasn't the last game of the season it would have been called off as the above picture shows and why the final game of the season was midweek I have no idea.

Lot of postponed games with cup replays and bad weather that season. Your right with your post though, should never have been played. I was in gate 13 and would have loved to have finished in the European places, even though the dippers would’ve mucked that up anyway.
October 14, 20214 yr Happy Birthday to this guy. One of my all time Chelsea favourites, who is 79 years young today.🍻

October 15, 20214 yr Posted before. One of my favourite pictures. The team bus is a bit different from those used nowadays.

I was 15 at the time, in the seats at the side with the terrace in front. There was confusion at the start as Cardiff were in our seats. Ken Bates was told of the issue and stewards were dealing with it with some assistance from our large contingent! I’ve mentioned before, look at the game on YouTube and you see by the end of the game the covered home end has emptied and Chelsea celebrate the equaliser.

Took me a while as well. Am not sure when the steps to the old North Stand seating were removed. Will ask one of the guys in my local. He started going to the Bridge in the early sixties. I'm sure that the roof tops of the Oswald Stoll Home is different now. The chimney stacks have been removed? I should know given I've walked by the place goodness knows how many times over the years! Will check at tomorrow night's game.
October 20, 20214 yr Man U 85/86. Spain 87 I think the year was when the coach crashed with several Chelsea fans on board a couple of who are no longer with us including the guy who was the most badly hurt in the crash.
October 20, 20214 yr From 78 -82 I was more of a middle boy always thought the white wall was full of beery not exactly old geezers but everyone looks old when your young. 82 onwards gate 13 and the West.
