I think this is the Cup Final replay at Old Trafford, 1970, I know the photo is B&W but Eddie Mac seems to be wearing the yellow socks we wore that (memorable) night.

You're right. I saw the picture on Facebook and it said 1965. I should have checked. I blame the beer and whisky.

Then again the crowd in the paddock doesn’t seem as packed as you’d expect at Old Trafford 1970?  Suffice to to say he was a dangerous bastard

In the 1965 semi final at Villa Park we wore blue socks, so I'm guessing this is the 1970 replay at OT

It’s us v Ipswich Town at The Bridge from Jan 1978 as the main game.

Just ‘ heads up’ for anyone interested.

Cheers. Will try and watch some before heading to the Bridge.

That’s still their record attendance. Went there via National Express Coaches opening game 1982. We won 1-0. Didn’t win much on the road that season.

Always lively there. 81 or 82 old bill transit was rocked side to side and turned over!

went 83/84 packed all over with Chelsea and we’ll over capacity. Loads climbed in over the turnstiles!

Went there 83/84. Turned a corner and there was a transit van of blokes milling around wearing Viking horn headwear.

A West Ham mate at school went there in 81, and was quite shocked by goings on, on the long walk from the station. A bit industrial and rough round the edges Cambridge, quite unlike the public perception.

Hey Boyne, dunno where you have to travel from but there's another fecking train strike. I'm waiting to see if much  is running before I decide what to do .

Hi mate, I travel in from South-East London. Train in should be okay but going home could be fun. May have to use tube, DLR and bus. Have you got far to travel? Fortunately it's not a late kick-off. I remember a couple of games last season when there was a strike and got home in the early hours. Bloody rail strikes.
