Would you want to see him in a Blue shirt?
June 17, 201113 yr A couple of years too late for my liking. A quality player, but we don't need another older striker.
June 19, 201113 yr we don't need him. Apparently Barcelona are willing to sell David Villa after unconfirmed reports that Alexis Sanchez will sign for them next week.
June 19, 201113 yr I cant see us getting him to be honest. If he is being offered to us and city, it will definatly suit city more than us.
June 19, 201113 yr He's an epic striker. Total nonsense I think though. Barca will want to keep him. This fabregas sh*t comes up every year
June 19, 201113 yr its a hard one to be honest hes one of the best strikers around and the money being talked about, 40 million, its a risk i dont want chelsea to take i can see him being another shevshenko quality if he stays in spain for most of what is left of his career and one last big paycheck in america, But hes at an age that if he comes by the time hes settled and used to england he will have lost sharpness i wouldve bought him when liverpool signed torres but its to late for us to see the best of him in blue
June 19, 201113 yr too late to be honest, i would have loved to have seen him playing with the likes of robben,j.cole and duff...but we dont really need him now.
June 19, 201113 yr This signing would reek much more of Shevchenko than the Torres signing...too big of a risk for a man on the brink of 30. That said, I don't think the club would really have any intention of making this play. It seems to be paper speculation at its best.
June 19, 201113 yr David Villa is a better striker than Torres and that's a fact He is a better striker but 29 give him a year to settle 30 - leaves him 2-3 years at the top. Villa for £40m is a rip off, no resale value and if he failed to impress in first season we couldn't recoup anything more then £20m imo
June 19, 201113 yr I was a big fan of Villa when he was at Valencia and he would of been a great signing to partner Drogba at the time but now it would be silly to buy him at any price.
June 19, 201113 yr Super player (whose had an average season for his standards, but played out of position), but can't see it happening.
June 19, 201113 yr Amazing player, no way Barca will want to sell, no way anyone will pay that much, no way he will want to move, especially outside Spain.
