The way I see it is it's 90 mins and I think Chelsea should really go for it and play an attacking game and try nick a couple of early goals.

We have some our our best defenders out so I hope we don't try and sit tight and nick a goal or we could get found out.

There defence is obviously shaken up after there 5-2 loss at the weekend so lets go at em.

I don't want to see defensive football, and I think that with Gustavo being out, we have a real chance of winning the midfield battle because (I must sound like a broken record now) Muller doesn't drop deep enough to help the midfield control tight games (whereas Kroos was very good at this against Madrid). I think a Mikel - Lamps - Mata trio could help us control the game.

I don't care what we do as long as we win it. I can see all 11 Chelsea players on top of each other in goal to create a wall there for the entire game if that's what we need to win.

I wouldnt care if we defended for 89 of the 90 minutes and scored in the 1 minute of attack we had as long as we won. A final is not about looking good and playing your best football, its about winning the f**king thing and thats it.

Perfectly put.

i think we should go at them from the 1st whistle. especially if we field both torres and drogba. not because i want beautiful football but because i feel their makeshift defense is a real liability

Well put. My point exactly not fussed about pretty football I be happy if we long ball it to drogs but we should go for it and not play defensive.

My big concern is that without Ramires we don't have anyone that can take the ball forward through the midfield with pace. We'll sit deep because that's the way we play, we'll defend like trojans - because that's the way we do it, but will we have what's required to hit them on the break? Hate to say it but Studge and/or Kalou could be really important to us on Saturday.

Well, we did that against The Best Team In The Worldâ„¢ and it worked out okay. I'm not trying to say we should go that route, but if it worked against Barcelona when we had no recognisable centre back and only 10 men, it can work against Bayern also.

i completely disagree

it worked against barcelona because they are no threat from corners or outside the box. they have no plan B

if you allow bayern to take 10 corners they will score. if you allow them to pass freely around the box schweinsteiger and robben will just shoot mercilessly. they actually have tall players in their team that can score headers

plus the "no recognisable CBs" is bollocks to make it sound better, we had out best defender this season playing CB, which we no longer have.

Agreeing with chelsea8boy here, it's not a choice between pretty football and losing or defending and winning, it's more that I think we have a better chance of winning if we exploit their weaknesses by trying to win the midfield battle and putting their CBs under pressure. Sitting back worked against Barca, but that's the only choice we had and it worked because they have nobody able to score headers (bar Puyol) and nobody who likes shooting from distance. We also had a (well deserved) slice of luck there. Bayern have more variation, can score from distance and are good in the air but we CAN compete in terms of possession, which we should do.

I'll be scared if we go for it.

I'll be scared if we defend for the 90 plus whatever.

I'm just going to be a wreck whatever.

Same here. the FA Cup final left me in a nervous wreck at the end of the game - God only knows how bad this weekend will be. I'm trying to avoid most of the final talk to save gettings over amped too early.

My thoughts exactly.

Ramires is the biggest miss out of all the suspended players by a country mile.

A huge part of our engine is gone.

They will be asking the same question..Shall we go for it or not...Itll be sussed out in the first 30 mins how we go on to win the game 3-2 in extra time...You heard it here first..

This thread is a sign of how fragile our confidence has become this season.

One year ago we would have considered ourselves favourites, and expected the lions share of possession, after the turbulent season we have been put through i think we're no longer sure of our dominance (the barca games cemented this) so the quandry of which way we play the game rears it's ugly head....

For me, i don't care as long as we win, but... i don't see us holding out (if we choose to play like we did against Barca) against Bayern because as 'Lane' says they are not as one dimensional as Barca.

I'm with chelsea8oy in that i'd like to see us play our 'normal' game and take Bayern on as equals NOT as a team we need to defend against in the the hope thatt we can nick one !!
