Personally I find it odd there's no room for the Golden Boot winner or Gomez. And Gerrard? Really? I'd drop him put Fabregas back as a midfielder seriously put Salpingidis in up front. He had a much bigger impact on his team that that punchy-scouser.

Coentrao wasn't even that good, was just average. That's normally how he plays expect with less bombing forward. Pereira should be there ahead of him, he's normally prone to defensive errors but he was class in this tournament. Don't think Pique was excellent either, was okay but Ramos did the best bits of defending. Would have Bruno Alves over him myself.

Gerrard is only there cause of his assists, he was awful otherwise. Moutinho should be there ahead of him.

No strikers really played well in this tournament so I would probably just have Fabregas up front. Maybe Balotelli though. Just saw Ibra on the forwards list, if there's room for him then there's room for Torres.

I can see why Torres wasn't picked as he didn't play much.

JT should have been in the team. Not sure about Gerrard. He did well and for the moment I can't think of whom I'd pick ahead of him.

Zlatan? The guy who doesn't do anything of note until his team is already mathematically eliminated? He's ahead of Torres, Gomez, and Mandzukic.

Only two players (Zlatan and Gerrard) in this team didn't make it to the semis. I get why they it often ends up like this, but there are always some great individual performances in the group stages that go unrewarded because the team goes out.

Cole proibably shouldn't have been in. That Alba for Spain was pretty good at LB. But I agree with Terry,

No JT/Cole, still manage to get Gerrard in there some how. Amazing.
