How many pitches you been on?

Featured Replies

where? why? mass disorder or celebrating?

QPR v Chelsea testamonial, night before the 89 cup final, final whistle goes & about 100 CFC youngsters get on the pitch & run a few QPR, got as far as the centre circle & they legged it lol!

Palace v Blackburn 1989 went with a Palace mate & got on their pitch after the game as they'd just won their play off final.

Villa away day of the cross bar being done by CFC, got on when we scored & am on the club end of season video, got on again at ft & was just in front of the goal when the cross bar got snapped, even Bates was on the pitch with us lol!

Brentford v Fulham loads of us went for a laugh, Brentford won 3/4.0 i think & went up got on the pitch with 100s more & charged the Fulham end but they didnt want to play.

Plymouth away 1989, weirdly the plod escoted us out of the away end & along the touchline to exit the ground, 100s run about on the pitch all scoring top corner screamers with an invisable ball lol!

Obviously most of us would have been on the pitch at sb, one of my favourite times was v Sheff Utd in 94, last game of the season, got on when we scored our 3rd goal, from the shed, got chased off by plod & ended up in the benches , got back on at ft, stuck loads of CFCHH stickers on the goal posts & advertising boarding, a copper spoke to my mate so i stuck a CFCHH in the area sticker on the coppers back lol!

Exeter v QPR pre season with my mrs, went in the home end & got taken along the touchline to the QPR end.

Not many times. The promotion party v Hull in 1977 and then the end of season Sheffield United game where we relegated them. Went on at Fulham when they won promotion out of the 3rd Division against Lincoln and finally at Dulwich Hamlet for getting into the FA Cup 1st round proper, the first time for donkeys years and not since.

We did climb in go on SB pitch one night when the ground was locked, my mate pulled up a piece of turf and grew it in a flower pot on his bedroom window cill.

CHELSEA..many times. (and) i have incl. after chelsea discos in the 70s

SHEFF.WEDS

MAN CITY

MILLWALL

SPURS

CARDIFF

BRIGHTON

YORK

I'll bet the Spurs and Millwall ones weren't under the best of circumstances !! How come Cardiff though?

Sadly none despite the fact I have been home and away with Chelsea for almost 30 years on and off.. maybe I am just a good boy, I never really felt the urge to be honest.

I was a mascot at Stamford Bridge when I was 3 in 1971 in the days when the mascots where never really announced or publicised does that count ? I have no record of it or recording and I have no recollection... apparently I cracked in a blinding volley at the Shed End

Surprisingly few, actually.

Stamford Bridge a few times, but always in a mob celebration, the best of which was against Leeds in 83/84. Surprised at just how much of a slope there was on the pitch, both wings rose up to the centre.

Southampton - escorted to the away end a couple of times, nearly got nicked for wandering on to the pitch

Bolton - 70's exchange of ends

Wolves - at the end of the game in 76/77

Orient - all good humoured stuff, honest!

Luton - hmmm

Brighton - ran across to help out some outnumbered Chelsea in their end

Derby - we all went on the pitch at HT after being offered a ruck there by the Derby mob. The Derby mob then bottled out totally and didn't join us, w*nkers

Margate - small mob of us 'Wimbledon' fans in the Southern League ran across the pitch to help out a mate who looked like he'd been battered and thrown over the perimeter wall. Turned out he was totally pissed and fell over it himself, so funny at the time

Wimbledon - went on a few times in the mid-70's, mostly just having a laugh, but occasionally chasing away fans down to the other end

I'm sure there are more, just can't think of them at the moment...

St Andrews - Final day of the season vs Blackburn in May 2008 cheering on the Blues. Not Chelsea blues but Birmingham Blues (my adpoted Uni team).

I was sure that United would beat Wigan so I thought why not see if Birmingham can stay up?

Unfortunately despite winning the game, they still got relegated and we all swarmed the pitch and totally trashed the crossbar. WAS AMAZING as a neutral fan. As we ran over to the over the end to trash the other crossbar, hordes of police came at us swinging battons which was pretty frightening.

Great pitch invasion nonetheless.

RE.. mickey Droy fan chucking scenario when we went on the pitch....By the way also Birmingham city

bridge countless times, cambridge 82 so many chelsea there who bunked in the turnstile blokes just gave up,palace 84 day after my 18th birthday i was still pissed, brentford friendly 1992 i think ,game finished i turned around and my mate had run on the pitch so we all joined him i asked kerry dixon and kevin wilson for there shirts kevin wilson had one look at me and my mate and legged it to the dressing room

Chelsea, Orient, West Ham, Tottenham, Derby, Leicester, Fulham, Norwich, Southampton, QPR, Everton (not match day), Dundee United (Not match day), Raith Rovers, Wolves, Charlton, Portsmouth, York, Wimbledon, Luton, Telford, Cambridge. Some of the above many times especially London clubs

Villa away in the early 90's always makes me laugh considering all the posturing from the villa fans when they first came on. I was in the seats on the side and we hit them from our section and from behind the goal, blimey could they run! Some fella in front on me started the proceedings by throwing his DM at them luckily for him he found it later.

Some good pics & cuttings from that day in my vintage pics thread.

Hey Carshalton, i am sat here p*ssing myself with the vision in my head of you and all the other fellow blues celebrating their 30 yard screamers at Plymouth. How did you celerbrate? Knee slide or the old one arm a loft?

I was Kerry Dixon so jumped up with arms aloft lol!

To my shame, I've only been to three pitches.

Stamford bridge twice.

Woking's Kingfield 5 or 6 times.

The Brittania Stadium once, when Stoke were still in the Championship. Was also still at uni when Stoke got promoted to the PL. It was anarchy that day, people spilling out of pubs shouting, cars honking their horns etc. No one in Stoke slept that night!

Stamford Bridge twice, once as a mascot in the 80s and once for a impromptu kick around on the week we signed kenny monkou and old grey beard threw us off the pitch.

Sellhurst Park 3 times i think the first time was Charlton away when they stopped letting us in for whatever reason just as i got to the ticket booth * remember those * and called back to my mate to take off our shirts and go in the home end , only to see a good number of other Chelsea boys do the same thing, the old bill took us straight in and behind the goal at the sainsburys end where the Charlton supporters were spitting at us so we got moved into the Cantona stand for free.

then x 2 against palace.

Also went Millwall away and got tickets for the home end and managed to climb through the CBL end and run along the pitch to the away end.

Chelsea couple of times

Bolton - trying to get to the other end

Birmingham - trying to stay alive

Orient

Hereford [ taking a penalty kick ] so long ago but i think Bonetti was in goal
