Dont want him here!!

Rio Ferdinand's got a great CV too. Presumably you want him at the club.

He could rot in our reserves?

He's already rotten. Sorry :/

What about when he sold Alonso and destroyed liverpool and then inherited a treble winning Inter side which he did nothing with.

As my Liverpool supporting mates tell me we lucky to have roman, not the old owners thy use to have, we saw how close Liverpool came to being bankrupt I do not think it is his fault, Alonso was sold for 2 x the value he was purcased,we bought toress for 50million, so I think they have a point.

He also created there youth academy thats producing good players.

I just think we need to give him a chance Robbe is gone, any potest against roman is madness, the guys has spent a billion pounds on us.

I don't care what he's won in the past, I don't want him anywhere near our club and I will be utterly disgusted and sick if we appoint him, even on a temporary basis.

The thought of seeing his smug, fat face and listening to his inane ramblings sitting at a press conference in a Chelsea tracksuit is enough to make me start watching Rugby instead.

I will be furious if Rafa is appointed.

And i am sick off reading about how he will bring Torres back. Even the choice of manager has to revolve around him now. Get them both as far away from Chelsea as possible

I can't stand the guy and no Chelsea fan should after his history at Liverpool! His CV should also talk about how he ran Liverpool into the ground by selling their best players and replacing with trash and how he got sacked from inter after 3 months due to poor results! We may as well have kept rdm

Why dont you go into LFC forums and find out how they regard him !! the omes I know completly dore himand are hating the fact he is joining Chelsea.

its best to rsearch mate before makin these accusations, if he is signed, i am open minded to give him a chance his track record stands up to scrutiny, infact itsup there with the very best.

Let them live in denial then, he was sacked for a reason

You spend a lot of time on LFC forums and you boast about your LFC supporting friends.

I'm seeing a trend here ..

Those Liverpool schools really aren't up to scratch - making their students spell "red" as "blue".

the biggest problem is he spent ages talking about history / tradition etc before and after games with us.

on one hand I think

a) that's obvious pandering to the liverpool support more than anything.

b) trophies does not equal history and any right minded person knows that.

but on the other hand I think

well he still said those things. he had no problem taking public shots at us before.

he also made a point of congratulating abramovich rather than our manager when we beat liverpool. to accept the chelsea job now would be an act of terrible hypocrisy.

when he's our manager I hope every point he wins he credits to abramovich and abramovich alone. the prick.

Liverpool fans generally aren't all there in the common sense department. I wouldn't recommend putting too much faith into their ramblings. I do distinctly remember they all wanted him out at the time though. Shipping Alonso for Barry didn't go down too well

Rafa Benitez is in advanced negotiations to become the new Chelsea manager with an announcement possible as soon as this evening or on Thursday. The former Liverpool manager will return from Abu Dhabi this evening, with a deal to succeed Roberto Di Matteo close to completion.

Benitez will take up the role after talks between Roman Abramovic and Pep Guardiola, the Chelsea owner’s first-choice, ended with the Spaniard insisting he wishes to see out a full year’s sabbatical.

Benitez is expected to take up the role on a temporary basis, but will back himself to convince Abramovic that he is the long-term solution to his ambition of Chelsea winning consistently with style.

As a former Liverpool manager he will not be a straightforward sell to Chelsea fans, who recall him for the acrimonious clashes with jose Mourinho when the two clusb were vying for Champions League honours.

Two semi-finals ended in bitter rows, and he will have to win over Stamford Bridge. The renewal of his working relationship with Fernando Torres will also be a fascinating element of the appointment.

FAT SPANISH WAITER! YOU'RE JUST A FAT SPANISH WAITER! FAAAAT SPANIIIISH WAAAIIIITER! YOU'RE JUST A FAT SPANISH WAITER!!!

Here are the reasons I don't want him anywhere near us...

  • His quote that effectively said Chelsea fans are plastic because of the flags.
  • Where he accused Drogba of constantly cheating (In which Didi responded by destroying LFC in the next match)
  • His transfer policy - buy tonnes of players, and 1 or 2 might end up being decent
  • His meltdown at inter- he blamed an ageing squad- Jose won the treble with the same Inter team soon after
  • His embarrassingly poor displays in post match interviews- in particular the infamous '27000 speech'
  • He's a fat spanish waiter
  • The fact he loves LFC and they love him
  • Useless record in the EPL
  • Clearly taking this job for the £££££££££££££££

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I can't help but think this is all to do with f**king Torres.
