Jose - Confirmed Manager by Rob Beasley

Featured Replies

It's just classic sh*t British journalism. "Let's announce it as official before it's actually official, so people will think that we have good sources and are reliable"

We all know it's coming but I'm not getting excited over a Sun article, even if it is Rob Beasley.

Official because someone told them who is unknown lol

Noting to see here....yet.

It just reeks of the Sun thinking its a done deal and announcing it so they can say...hey look we brought the story before anyone else

First, that's how the media works in order to bolster sales. So no surprises there.

Secondly, of course Beasley is not going to name the source for obvious reasons.

Finally, has it not occurred to you that should Beasley have "invented" the story, he would look a right tit & effectively closed future channels with his sources at the club. Why on earth would he risk that?

but they didn't break it....loads of papers have said jose is next Chelsea manager at various times...the day it's officially announced is immaterial, it's the biggest open secret in the game...the sun are trying to look special, but really they're just confirming the obvious

This bit of the article made me laugh.

The Sun exclusively told you on May 3 that Real Madrid chief Mourinho was heading back to the Bridge.

Really? Every tabloid article / tweet / man down the pub even my neighbours goldfish have been saying this for months.

If you believe this then fine but to the rest of us nothing is official until the club announce it.

It's just pish journalism

Alright. Bookies now have him at 100 to one on. What does that tell you. Seemingly nothing.

It tells me it's still not official.

Go figure.

So on that logic any, shall we say, "news", that doesn't emanate from the club & comes to us from the media is always to be discredited?

It must follow from that that you never believe the press whatsoever when it breaks stories.

That, of course, is entirely a matter for you. Whether it applies to the "rest of us" as you say, I sincerely have my doubts.

Let's not count our chickens here.

We don't have to count any chickens as, and as Jose would say, the omelette has already been made & now it's been served.

Some of you are no doubt waiting for the club to say grace before you devour same.

Some of us that couldn't be bothered with such trifles have already devoured same.
