For me its the return of José. Simply because it gave me the biggest buzz out of all things Chelsea related, seems strange that my favourite moment wasn't something that happened on the pitch but there it is!

Lampard taking the record for me

Jose being confirmed as Chelsea manager, followed by Lamps' record breaking goals, and finally the FSW f**king off out the (double) door for the last time. sweet, sweet memories!

From a football perspective it has to be the return of Jose.  No other personnel change at the club could have better increased our chances of silverware in this and future seasons. 

 

Outside of football there has been the usual plethora of high profile stories from Jimmy Saville to Oscar Pistorius, the death of Thatcher, Edward Snowden, Lee Rigby and just as the year came to an end, the sad death of Nelson Mandela.

 

Mandela’s death is, for me, the biggest world story of the year. I am just glad Thatcher didn’t get the satisfaction of outliving him.

For me, it was Ivanovic's header goal at the end that won the Europa league for Chelsea.

Toss-up between Lampard breaking Tambling's record and Jose coming home.

 

Ivan's header against Benfica and Fernando's goal against Manchester City were epic too.

Lampard breaking the record against Villa at the end of last season, amazing moment for the club and for the man. 

Europa League win, Torres was excellent that day and scored a great goal, was worried when they equalised and didn't want extra time. But Ivan made sure it didn't happen, I went nuts when his header looped in. Another amazing moment as a Chelsea fan.
