I want to say hello to the Chelsea lads all over the world.

I became a CFC supporter in 1980, when I visited the club for the first time. I got addiceted immediately, because I liked the atmosphere and all the other things that I saw - except the football. :biggrin:

The team played at a poor level, but the fans cheerd them up and showed a loyalty to club and players, that I never saw before. There was a blue unit standing behind the goal that did not stop supporting the squad until victory.

The eighties were the time, I travelled every year to the bridge, standing in the shed and supporting my blues. A couple of times I was able to join the lads to an away match, especially in the greater London area.

Now, almost 55 years of age, I still have my old scarf and some stickers and badges "from the Middle Ages" and they are still reminiscent of the times, where no Roman Empire existed and there were more camaras to be targeted at the pitch, than at the stands.

I discoverd this wonderful forum after watching a documentary about Chelsea (with 7 parts) on youtube and will try to read all posts from the old times.

Blue is the colour!
