I'm going to Rome in January and we've bought tickets for Lazio vs AC Milan.

I know plenty about Milan but nothing of Lazio. Have they got any decent players?

Huttsey, Lazio are a half decent side, They're in the hunt for 3rd/4th place, They have Candreva, Klose and Djordevic who is a striker, and is currently their top scorer, They're the sort of side who could beat Juventus and Roma away but also lose to Empoli or Genoa, Similar to what Napoli are in my opinion.

they're going to lose some positions from here to january,they played only against bad teams untill now

I would say they are the Serie A equivalent of Everton, They have a young manager who likes the pressing game and his defence holding a high line, Or even Pochettino's Southampton would be a good shout.

I remember when Sven was there, and they won the league and the cup winners cup, then it went a bit downhill after that, if I remember correctly.

As Inter & AC Milan failed to qualify for European football, 2015/16 will be 1st season both Milan clubs will not play in a Eur. competition.

 

So @acmilan & @Inter not in Europe in 2015/16, while their own stadium San Siro will host biggest match of the year: CL Final 2016.

Does Roma or any other team in Italy have any hopes of getting close to Juventus next year. 

 

Juventus finished 17 points ahead of the rest in the end. Serie A is in danger of becoming a 1 team league for the foreseeable future.

 

I guess the only hope is that Juventus don't successful replace some of their aging stars such as Buffon and Pirlo when they call it a day.  

Saw Luca Toni was joint top scorer at 38 years old.

Drogba will eat up that league if he goes there.

Italian football has been on the decline in recent years, I remember Serie A being the dogs dangly bits back in the 90's! Remember that Football Italia show on Channel 4 showing the highlights every Sunday.. use to love that!

 

I tuned in to Napoli vs. Lazio Sunday night on BT.. It was a cracking game, fair play! 3rd vs. 4th, Lazio went 2 up in the first half.. Napoli came out all guns blazing in the second half, got the game level.. both teams had a men sent off, Napoli won a penalty, Higuain had the opportunity to put Napoli 3-2 up but skied it! One of Lazio's subs made it 3-2 with only being on the pitch ninety seconds... then Klose sealed it 4-2 in the 93rd minute! That's how I remember Italian football! Exciting! 

 

Plus Juve being the the CL final, fair play to 'em! Especillay after getting relegated to Serie B 9 years ago, mental! 

 

It's a shame to see both Milan teams struggling in recent years, both massive clubs that should be pushing for the titile every season. I can't see that changing with Juve being dominant, plus Lazio & Roma seem to be stronger every season!  

Milan have huge investment coming in though and with FFP been relaxed I can see them been back in a few seasons.

I doubt they will agree it's on the decline. It's looking very likely that Italy are going to take a European spot off us next season. They must be doing something right.
