A lady of 70+ years has very little use for Sky sports and broadband too, to be fair.

I'll be muddling through on score updates on my phone.

Ahem!  Really???????????

Game day!

I am visiting my mum this weekend, no Sky or broadband so will miss this, gutted.

Come on the blues in my absence![/quote

Thats ok, some people believe that quality time with friends and family is more important than "another" football match. Can't say i agree with them though lol.

I have to go to friends for dinner and will get daggers from mrs carrickblue if I even glance at my phone. Think I'll be making regular trips to get bathroom just to check the score

Ill take a bore draw please. Wouldnt mind a Matic-Zouma-Fab midfield for this one

Yeh wid them playing Rooney or Fellaini in CM. Sure. We should go with Cesc-Matic and Oscar imo. They will be without 2 of their main CM/DM.

Oh yes and I can guarantee that none of the pubs round here will be showing the Chrlsea game!

That's an interesting point. I'm assuming the pub will be showing Sky as per. I think there are, like us, a lot of folk who don't have Sky, but I think I'm wrong in that.

Can see us going:

-----------------------Cortious----------------------

----Ivanovic---Cahill------Terry------Azpi--------

--------------Ramires--------Matic-----------------

----Willian------Fabregas-----Hazard------------

-------------------Drogba----------------------------

I'd prefer to see Remy for Drogba but otherwise almost spot on I'd say.. Come on Chelsea!

Each to their own Moi.

This one doesn't.

this thread has turned into me justifying my mum's lifestyle.

I bet your Ma is interesting, no need to justify anything.Enjoy your time with her.

I'm sure in other places you'll be fine but the chance of a pub in Reading showing anything other than the FA cup semi-final will be nil.

No, no, your Mum can do exactly what she wants.  But don't assume that all ancient old crones can live without Broadband!  I would have a nervous breakdown if I lost my broadband connection!

P.S.Anyway, it shows what a good son you are that you are prepared to miss the match for a day with your Mum!

Oh of course yes, daft old me,forgot that's where you're located.

I don't presume, hence why I used the singular of 'a lady' rather than a sweeping generalisation of something like 'all 70 year old women' :)

Here's the team I'm expecting to play tonight:

Courtois

Ivanovic

Cahill

Terry

Azpi

Matic

Ramires

Fabregas

Willian

Hazard

Drogba (Remy to come on during the second half)

4-3-3 formation.

Oh, go on then, I'll do a score prediction as well. 2-1 to Chelsea. Hazard penalty, Rooney equalises, then Remy scores in the last ten minutes.

I also stayed in Manchester for a while and it may be anecdotal but the average manc I met would support city, never met a united supporter except Asians who all support them from my experience, as for the stadium, of course Man U can fill a stadium they are huge, ask yourself this, how many west Londoners like myself will fill the bridge tomorrow?

You never met a United supporter apart from Asians? Come on fella, lol. I'll be at the boozer later and it will be absolutely jam packed with United fans, as will almost every other pub in the city. Most of them being Manchester working class lads, born and bred. There have also been studies done which have shown that despite various Chinese whisper type anecdotes, United fans are in the majority in Manchester. I know some City fans, but many more United fans.

I know United fans get generalised as glory hunting tossers, and there might be a few Londoners in the away end tomorrow (our away fans are great though, hardcore and loud as f**k, which i'm sure match-going Chelsea fans would admit) but that comes with being such a huge global brand. Our Manchetser based fans though (and some others) are good decent lads, just like the true fans of any other club.

Win our next four and Liverpool have to give us a guard of honour.

Can anyone think of anything more satisfying?

Dear God, please, please let it happen :JC_doubleup:

Considering United's injuries, suspensions and fitness, I think this is their likeliest line-up:

De Gea - Valencia Smalling McNair Young - Mata Herrera Fellaini Di Maria - Rooney Falcao

IF this is their defense, we have to put them under pressure. This is a fantastic situation, they will be playing both a formation and players very different from their recent good games and are bound to make mistakes. No better time to come at them and force those mistakes.

Our team should write itself - if Fellaini is forced to play DM, there's no need to employ Zouma to mark him. Hope Remy's fit, we look toothless with Drogba atm.

I'm so nervous for this one, still think we'll do it though but it will be tight 2-1.

Can tell watching anything that pundits etc want us to lose, admittedly I can almost understand it with them not wanting the title to be over but then again they're supposed to remain impartial. Charlie Nicholas is particular does my head in, you can tell he wants us to drop points just so Arsenal can get in there.

I feel strange, I've said a draw, which I don't like doing. We won't lose, and if I'm wrong and we win I will be ecstatic of course.

We once had 9 goals a match against them I think, I think today will be tight for scoring and all about defending for both sides. I would love to see an exciting game and will be very content if Rooney is not allowed to score in particular.

Come on you BLUES!
