Six of our matches in the early part of the season have been selected for live television broadcast, with our opening game, at home to Swansea, kicking off at 5.30pm on Saturday 8 August.

Our following two games, away at Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion, have both been moved back a day. The match at the Etihad will now take place on Sunday 16 August at 4pm, while the game at West Brom will be played on Sunday 23 August, kick-off 1.30pm. All three of our opening matches will be shown on SKY.

Elsewhere, our away game against Everton on Saturday 12 September will now kick-off at 12.45pm, as will our home match against Arsenal a week later on 19 September. Both matches will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

Our away game at Newcastle United has also been chosen for live coverage and will now take place on Saturday 26 September at 5.30pm. That game will be shown on SKY.

Ticket on-sale dates will be announced next week.

Does that mean our first 6 games of the season our shown live on TV

No, Our home game against Palace on 29 August stays at 3pm on Saturday. Six of the first seven moved for tv.

I was hoping we'd be on the Sun as my best mates getting married on the Sat.

To quote ForeverCarefree's  quote thing above his avatar...

"If your best mate said it's Chelsea or me, would you miss them?"

Sort your priorities out, mate.

We played united before on a friday. Why are they playing on a Friday this time ?

Click on the link, lazybones!

Oh ok, it's because there's and EDL march on the Saturday and they're playing in the CL the next week so it can't be on the Sunday.

The fourth game to be chosen for live coverage is our away match at Crystal Palace, which will now take place on Sunday 3 January, kick-off 1.30pm, and be shown on Sky Sports.
