Ok, always one to set the cat amongst the pigeons. Please share with me your best team of all time, players from any time, league or team. Who's your captain and how you think your team would be the best there is. Only base it on players you've actually seen since you've been watching, no point trying to include someone from 50 years ago if you haven't actually seen them play.

This could (and will) get feisty no doubt. Respect each other's picks though.

Terry would be my captain but so many leaders on the pitch it could have been 4 or 5 in the mix.

I'm missing a H . Defensive midfield player who had a good eye for goal too, played for Bayern and Inter in the late 80s and 90s.

Pity the mid-fielders up against that mid-field.

 

There's a famous picture of Dave Mackay grabbing Bremner by the throat after a bad tackle. It was Bremner who was "tapped" in the head by McCreadie in the 1970 FA Cup Final Reply.

 

A few other hard cases who could make the team are Tommy Smith, Norman Hunter and Tom Forsyth.

The latter three played when football had gone a bit softer. Maradona is there as the match winner, Billy Whitehurst could have been there but he couldn't play as well as Big Dunc.

I was torn between Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Baggio, Iniesta, Hagi, Lampard and a personal favourite Recoba.
