Laudrup didn't contribute that much to Chelsea though. Gullit was amazing in his couple of playing years, but Zola was the man. I saw his debut at Blackburn. I remember my brother (United fan) saying "he'll do alright" even though he missed a sitter of a header

Zola was the master of the free kick that the keeper could do nothing about. It hung over the advancing strikers, so the keeper had to anticipate the headers, only to see the initial strike go straight onto the bottom corner

I just wish we had him 3 or 4 years earlier. Imagine him playing a few seasons with the likes of Drogba, Lampard, Makelele and Robben. I am confident we would already have a Champions League or 2 under Mourinho.

The guy oozes class on and off the pitch. Love the fact Ferguson remembers details like this, shows how much he must have respected him.

Loved it when he turned that prick Julian dicks so badly he even twisted his blood.
