New manager being linked to all his past clubs players is not a new thing

It would be great if clubs would insert a clause in the settlement deal when they pay off a manager or agree compensation from his new club that the ex-manager can't raid his former club for any of its players.

Not that it could be made to stick, as it would be seen as restraint of trade. José raided Porto when he joined us.

I don't see Dave going anywhere. I see him as a Conte type of player. Hardworking, versatile.

As for José raiding us for players then so be it. We'll just make them pay through the nose for them.

Good idea for a thread.

More classic lazy journalism. Conte wants everyone who is italian or has played in Italy and Jose wants all of our hardworking players

I read a rumour that we submitted a £40m bid for Bonucci. £40m?!!!

I think the current rumour is that we've bid £40mil, been rejected and José will guzump us by offering more. Typical journal sh*t!

Even read that Cesc is on his way to Real as he's sick of EPL.

So likely Jose would raid us? Never happening.

Conte is supposed to be keen on signing Darmian.

What concerns me more is Jose is also after Azpi by all accounts.

The same account said Conte doesn't rate Azpi and is willing to sell...

Hmm so that is Mata, Blind and now Darmian that Jose apparently wants rid of, and Willian, Matic and Dave he has been linked with bringing in. Some sort of 3 for 3 swap?

Apparently Pep has such a deal with Bayern:

Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa has claimed Pep Guardiola cannot sign any players from his former club for Manchester City, ruling out a move to the Etihad side in the process.

Guardiola lured the Brazil international from Shakhtar Donetsk to Bayern ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, but he will not follow the successful coach to the Premier League.

"Would I be open to City if Pep called? It's something he has in his contract, a clause that says he cannot sign any players from Bayern," Costa told Globo Esporte.

Not sure how true it is though.

So the only two players who weren't sh*t last year and one who was brilliant in our most recent title winning year for Mata (who I still rate) and two players who never really proved themselves at Utd?

As if.
