Unfortunately I have already agreed to go to the fourth round.  I was almost hoping we went out last night so that I didn't have to sit through it!  (I doubt there will be anything exciting enough to make me stand so it will be sitting through it!) Ah well, maybe I'll invite my daughter along so we can have a catch up during the match instead.  And at least there's beer at half time, unlike at CL matches.

 

Morata's red card was a blessing in disguise. I fear if he was around during the penalty shootout the idiot would've probably missed a shot for us.

Do you think Edison has had no great impact on the way City play now? A goalkeeper? He has made a massive impact because of his distribution alone, teams just can’t get the ball. I love Christensen by the way, I think he’s actually our most solid defender, but when he’s the main 3 his distribution is not very good. We need to go back to the way things were last season when we could outplay teams, counter-attack teams and pressure them for 80 minutes.

I dont think I am missing the point, I simply dont rate luiz that highly. I did not see much of a difference that his supposed distribution made today. Infact what I generally see is 10 quarter back-ish OTT passes, 8 of which end up giving the ball away.

As for being sloppy in the last 3 matches go, I dont see how LUIZ could have helped us there. Hazard, Cesc were sloppy as hell against arsenal and they are our main playmakers. Are you honestly saying that luiz's distribution would have bifurcated them as well as drinkwater/bakayoko. I dont see any of it happening realistically.
