Chelsea Vs Norwich (FAC) Wed 17th Jan 2018 19:45 UK

Featured Replies

This would usually be a comfortable match, but because we seem to have forgot how to play football recently, I'm not really looking forward to it. My prediction is a laboured 1-0 win, with the goal coming midway through the second half.

Line-up:

Willy

Rudi Luiz Christensen

Zappa DD Cesc Kenedy

Pedro Bats Willian

Will Chelsea win or lose against Norwich? Should i care?

Since the beginning of 2018 we've been consistently under-performing. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the first time Chelsea have drawn 4 matches back-to-back under Conte ?

Is it entirely Conte's fault or does some of the blame go to the players as well ?

Conte's stubbornness is beginning to be a liability with his 3-5-2 formation. It's clearly redundant, get rid of it. Individual roles assigned to specified players do not match their strengths. Terrible !

Morata at this point should just be used as a decoy to distract defenders. The wingers deserve the privilege for a finish. It's too late for Morata to compete for the Premier League's top scorer of the season.

He had his opportunities from the start of the season and blew it with his novice-like abilities. Swallow your pride, forget about scoring. Start assisting instead then maybe we can appreciate you better ffs.

I don't know what to expect from this 2nd-Leg Semi-Final other than the probability that it will be extremely boring. That's regardless of Chelsea winning or losing.

                   Willy

     Azpi       Luiz      Rudigar

Zappa   Cesc     DD      Pedro

   Willian   Morata  Musonda

We should go strong a big confidence boosting win is much needed and Morata desperately needs a goal.

Hazard looked Tired out there so would give him a rest with Musonda coming in having scored 2 the other night with the reserves.

Pedro at LWB cos Kenedy is sh*t and Alonso is knackered.

Come on Chelsea.

Whoever plays better out of sterling and zappa play against Brighton cause Moses is such a terrible footballer. He had a malouda season now back to being dross.

Moses a terrible footballer? He's just had a average stretch of play recently. I'm ok with young Ampadu as he's a very mature footballer for his age. Danny needs to start. I'd play Morata again as this could boost his confidence a bit if he finds the net. Hopefully Ross is fit, be nice to see him in a Chelsea shirt. Pedro and Willian need to play.

Ross Barkley is likely to play in this match but i don't think he will necessarily start until the 2nd half. I personally hope he plays 90 minutes.

Moses has never been a terrible footballer, he is best a WF, who usually play from the left of the attack and sometimes the right.

He is a direct player willing to run at defenders.

WB is not his best position, when he played there last season, he was more attack minded and it worked for everyone.

Now he isn’t willing to have a go at defenders again, and only him hugging the byline alone, isn’t helping matters.

We like playing some our players where aren’t their forte.

Also the whole team has performed below par, Zappacosta has never ever had a brilliant match himself, post the champions league match he scored a screamer.

The whole team is in shambles FFS.

As some have commented in the first leg, I do now understand how important this game is for us.

Our borefest continues with the draw in the PL agains Leicester.

Probably our most realistic chances of silverware this season.

Our best chance is in the league cup as it stands, one match and we could be in the final.

Yet first we need to rediscover some good form and a match against Norwich should provide that opportunity.

If the league cup doesn't prove successful then at least we are still in the FA Cup.

The fatigue factor Conte refers to is frustrating and am not sure it is honest as he is fixed on a 3-5-2 limiting his choice of using different players at a time we also need more goals.

I do also think unfortunately a number are still carrying injuries.

Let Jody Morris and the U18s play this game should be more entertaining than the drivel we've seen from the overpaid seniors of late....   But on a serious note I will be quite pissed off with Mr Conte if continues to play the 352 at home to Norwich and if he persists in playing the headless chicken Baka...KTBFFH::ChELSeAFaN::

Normally we would coast this match but after our las three fixtures I'm not so sure. Things are not looking good at the moment and I don't know whether this match will be any different. WE are going through a Blip. We have to pray we snap out of it asap.. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

Strong side please and get the job done. The FA and League cup are our best chance of silverware this season.

But what is a strong side for us right now? The line-ups against Arsenal and Leicester both looked strong but we didn't score a single goal.

Trouble is, the majority of our decent youngsters are out on loan so can't play anyway but I would start Hudson-Adoi and leave Morata on the bench.

                         Courtois
       Azpi - Rudiger - Luiz - Zappacosta
                      Drinkwater
    Willian - Fabregas - Barkley - Pedro
                        Morata

Subs: Caballero, Batshuayi, Christensen, Hazard, Musonda, Sterling, Ampadu

Problem is, as much as people want to talk about silverware, the top four is far more important. i would normally be against throwing the cup, but not sure this season. if it means playing half our reserves then maybe it's worth it. we have to play norwich at 7:45 on wed, then brighton away at midday on saturday. only got ourselves to blame for the fixture congestion which is totally unneeded.

I like to see Luiz. Miss his creative play and long passes. He can for sure also put the ball in the net.

perfect match for the Brazil Mob to get some run in - hell they started @ Norwich, so I can totally them playing with Barkley getting his debut off the bench

Hazard, Cesc looked knackered from the 1st minute. They should be rested. Totally and completely. I would think twice about even putting them on the bench. This is where priorities come through.

Willy

Azpi Luiz Ampadu

Zappacosta Drinkwater Barkley Kenedy/Baba

Willian Michy Pedro
