The problem is the Ferrari's are already at top clubs on top wages. We're in a similar boat to Liverpool in so far we need to buy the next up and coming Ferrari, as far I can see that's perhaps where we're failing at the mo.

Don't get me wrong here, i'm not saying i want any of these players but Arsenal have gone out and signed Auba and Lacazette. We could have got one of those for the price we've wasted on Giroud and Batshuayi. Zappa cost the same as Aurier. Emerson and Baba could have nearly got us Mendy. Is Baka worth £30m more than Spurs paid for Wanyama?

If only we could make Cobham a Ferrari car plant.

You would need Enzo Ferrari as a manager then :)  Today the rule is: drive it until it crashes... managers who can't make Ferraris and decision-makers who (by the looks of it) have no idea what they want to accomplish (compare young academia midfielders and recent purchases of midfielders ala Barkley).

Conte out. Wenger in. Transformation complete.

Seriously though, if Conte wants to be here, can stop being such a miserable sh*t and go back to last seasons happy decisive manager I’d have him all day long.

If he’s not happy then he needs to go, it’s spreading throughout the club and bringing us all down.

You really think Chelsea will randomly release a press statement on how transfers work at Chelsea Football Club? If they really felt they need to reply to Conte then that really says how bad the situation has got. Most people thought Conte was leaving before we was playing this bad, the last month has just got worse and worse, Conte to me actually looks like he doesn’t know what to do or does he really give a dam.

So the coach conveyor belt will ever continue. But there aren't that many good coaches out there now and where we have got "lucky" in the past and managed to still win silverware, now with a depleted (and not so strong) squad we are going to struggle and our wonderful Board will wonder what's gone wrong. Well they won't need to look much further than their very own Boardroom for the answer.

As far as I'm aware we made enquiries for Mendy, Walker, Tolisso last summer? I do agree with the principle of what you're saying but there's not much we can do if they choose City/Bayern over us.

But as many people have theorised, these are "enquiries to save face"
Sure, we "enquired" about Sanchez etc but for all we know, we were never planning on making a bid.

We seem to enquire about everyone. I'd rather us get out there quick and get the business done like back in 2014. Tie the deals up before anyone else can. Instead of trying to save maybe £3m on a deal and it taking an extra 2 months just get it done and buy what we need imo.

No one has a clue who Chelsea have enquired about, it’s all rumours at the end of the day. People just bring out names to have a go at the board, back Conte or have a go at him.

Simple honest question, which was the last signing the club made that you were genuinely excited about?
This isn't a diss at the board or anything, just curious.

Probably when we signed Fabregas and Costa.

Yeah the board have been useless with the transfers but how do you know some of these haven’t been given the go ahead by Conte if not all? No one has a clue how much say Conte has, some say zero which is laughable. Conte never signed an extension and most thought he was going to leave last summer, Conte himself hasn’t committed long term. The only answer I can see is the board give a manager time, time to put youngsters in even if they don’t finish in the top 4, can’t see it happening though.

I agree. The trouble is now, not only have we slipped but our rivals have got stronger and City in particular, under Pep, look capable of having a monopoly on the PL for a good few seasons to come. This season is over In January. Fair play to them - I was one of the many laughing last season when they struggled and everyone was labeling Guardiola a Fraud. But he was laying the foundations for what was to come. Sure he has spent a sh*t-load to achieve it but when you witness the football they are playing, you have to admire his philosophy. Whoever leads us into next season, will struggle to compete with that.

Think i'm even more worried if we aren't even enquiring about these players and we are genuinely going for the likes of Zappacosta and Baba Rahman as our main targets.

Kante for me. Before that probably Costa + Fabregas, before that Hazard. No one else in between.

I'd love him to stay. However, he doesn't seem to want to change his way he plays /for opposition. I think he can but I think he is unhappy here and therefore not giving his best. As much as I love him and he could be a long term manager, if he isn't enjoying the job he should go. Obviously, he isn't enjoying it due to the board, but the board is going to stay.

Quite worrying that I had to go back a few years to Azpilcueta.

Arjen Robben, Hernan Crespo, Eden Hazard, Michael Ballack :laugh2:

This was back when I still watched a lot of football, he caught my eye. My excitement was also doubled by the fact that we were no longer interested in Debuchy.

If I had carried on watching lots of football I probably would have been excited by us signing Costa like most seem to have been.

Come on, nobody was excited about Morata? Maybe I'm just easy to please but at least one of the players we've signed in the last few seasons were exciting to me; Kante, Pedro, Cuadrado..

He has a few more options now, can rest Alonso a bit and play Emerson if fatigue is an issue.

Giroud as a target man and part of his job is also to help sort out Morata's finishing, if he could just fix that one facet of his game we would be in a much better position.

I know we lost 3-0 today but I think Andreas' injury had a big influence on that, on the whole Conte's defense this season has been pretty good, he just needs to fix the attack, if he can't do it with what we've got then he's got to move on, we can't have so many goalless games and expect to win anything.

Even if we played our squad players we should not be getting beat 3-0 at home to anyone let alone Bournemouth FFS

Is it Conte or the players thinking they just have to turn up again? Based on past experiences Conte will get the sack and we will win the league next year as every one tries their hardest again.

Morata and Kante for me.

If he doesn't make top 4 this season I see no reason for him to remain any longer. His football is not sensational and its clear as long as he's here he's not going to get his targets. Our board has done everything within their power to undermine him like they did with previous managers after they won the league.
