Big big fan of great players no matter what club they play for. Bite me. 

I was thinking about this earlier, and I don't think it's any big thing either way, but a lot of people in this forum (and others) are primarily football fans who have latched onto Chelsea, whereas I am a Chelsea fan, don't care about Engerland, or any other team, I don't watch matches unless they involve Chelsea and I don't even care about looking up results of other teams (except for Bristol Rovers) unless those results affect my team.  The only time I have any interest in Kane being injured is how that will benefit my team.  The only time the current incarnation of KdB is anything but a matter of total indifference to me is when we play City.  Messi on any other night than tonight is just another overpaid footballer, tonight I will be interested in him in so much as I will hope he has a mare of a game.

I expect that's the difference between people like me and people like you.  Not a good thing or a bad thing, just a thing.

BUT, I will say that in all my years I have never met a Chelsea fan who will say anything good about the Spuds.  Never.  Not one.

Well, to be fair, Spuds have one decent supporter, and he is on our forum instead of theirs  (although regretfully he hasn't been around lately).

My old man has been a Chelsea fan for about 50 years and he appreciates footballers of quality from other teams. Round about the same age as you he is, yorkieblue. I find rival fans hate for our teams and players strange. I have no hate for any team. Spurs have some great players who I'm sure you and and the rest on here would love at Chelsea. I'm not sure how anyone can't appreciate the talents of the worlds best players no matter who they play for. England players been on form is a great thing. When they play against us I'm hoping as you are that they have a bad day, obviously because we need the W.

I like their white kit. It’s symbolic of a white flag they would be waving as the bottle another season.
