Dier should have been off, offers nothing at all going forward. Barkley looked the like one to make something happened, if he tried a few first time shots instead of always taking a touch he might have a goal too.

Exactly what I thought ! Dier being in that team still despite being consistently dire is beyond me !!

Two positive subs by Southgate. Despite what the commentators said I though Rashford was pretty anonymous barring a few little bright sparks. 

England have been worse since Dele Alli came on.

Scrappy goal but the Spaniards probably enjoyed it.

So often he puts in 5 out of 10 performances but manages to do something that changes the outcome of a game. It doesn't matter how quiet he looks, he keeps doing it. You can't give him an inch.

This tournament needs to be on terrestrial tv here in England. It would create a greater buzz if it was, it's going unnoticed being on Sky and it's actually been decent in patches.
