And only about 5 who are/were good enough to ever break into the Chelsea first team and have a big future

At least 15 have played premier league football with many others having found their level in the lower leagues. That may not seem a lot but in an industry were only the elite get to make it as a professional footballer its a decent return. The academy is doing its job and should be praised, we are now producing the next generation of players for a game we all love.

The current market value of those 5 or so, added to the fees received via sales, has probably seen Cobham self sufficient, or maybe even turning a profit, for a while now.

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible without pop ups, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum up, as over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off. Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interferance of your experience on The Shed End.

Cheers now!
