That first goal when Willy won a penalty looked very soft for me.

In what way soft?   Defender slid in, didn't contact the ball, slid on through and took out Willian's legs, and it was inside the penalty area.  Tell me exactlly how that was "soft"  FFS, even that bitch-whining Dyche, who complains and moans about referee decisions all the time, said it was a clear penalty and his defender was silly to slide in.

What the hell do you actually mean by that?  A clear penalty (See my comment above) and a wonderful interplay resulting in a perfect cross from James and a great header from Tammy.   What do you think was unfair about either of those?

Truly, it still astounds me how our so-called fans can try to take every opportunity to talk down the team, or the club, or individual players, even after a convincing home win.

I am still scratching my head at this. Burnley could have easily gotten 2 goals off of set pieces today.
It's been half a season already, it's not like these guys were just practicing defending set pieces last week. They've been together and practicing this for months. What's missing?

To an extent its about confidence. We have a goalkeeper that the defence has no confidence in when it comes to commanding his area and coming for balls. Consequently there is anxiety whenever the ball comes into the box whether that be from a cross or a set piece.

It's much more about putting a player on each post. Kepa never did this up until now, I hated it with a passion. But this time he did (even two players on the near post) and immediatly Barkley saved a certain goal and us from a very nervy finish @ 2:1.

Its ridiculous isnt it, the desperation to take away any positives is just so weird. The penalty is a penalty under the rules and interpretations, they always get given now (whether they should is a different matter). Not sure how Abrahams goal isnt a proper goal, the lead up play was excellent, the cross was a belter that was well dug out by James, and the header was back against the keepers travel as your taught to do.

Surely anyone taking a players legs out by sliding through has always got to be a penalty.  Doesn't matter where our player's legs were, the defender missed the ball, made contact and took him out.

I dont like how players like Kane, Salah and Willian instigate the contact, though Ive always been of the opinion that if a defender is stupid enough to dive in and give the attacker an opportunity to gain an advantage then they cant complain if a ref gives a penalty. Staying on your feet in the area is almost gone from defending now, useless gits.

On MOTD they analysed the two decisions. They said it was a penalty but said Willian was clever and played for it. They said Tammy got away with a push in the back for his goal. He did give the defender a little push in the back.

It's funny, but when we played Burnley away earlier this season, Callum was given a little push in the back, and we won a penalty, which was subsequently overruled by VAR, and Callum was inexplicably given a yellow card. On MOTD that night, they said it wasn't a yellow but they also said it wasn't a pen. So, if that wasn't a pen, surely Tammy's goal was fine on Saturday, but no, according to MOTD, a little push in the back is fine on a Chelsea player but it's not fine if a Chelsea player does it.

Maybe they need to have less ex-Spurs players in the studio. Lineker, Murphy, and Jenas, what a trio. I think we should start a thread where we keep a record of what decisions are analysed by MOTD when it comes to our games. It seems to me that they only analyse decisions that go our way. It would be interesting to see over the course of the season what the numbers are. I think the numbers would surprise those who think it's all a case of paranoia. The evidence is clear, decisions that go our way are far likelier to get the pundit treatment than decisions that favour us. Maybe we should collect the evidence and present it to the BBC, after all, we pay our licence fees on the basis of their impartiality.

Against Arsenal recently, Ian Wright and Martin Keown agreed Jorginho should have been sent off for a second bookable offence, disregarding the fact Guendouzi should have been sent off earlier in the game for the exact same offence, and we should have got a pen. Amazing how many times our games are analysed by pundits who used to play for the team we're playing against.

Edit: It really is quite uncanny.

Well remembered, you're right.

This is it exactly. It's the elephant in the room unfortunately.
