Great result for the Gers. Always nice to see them beat the lot from the dark side.

Great to see the Ulster Pirlo score.

A great weekend with wins for Chelsea and Rangers.

Disappointing. St Johnstone's keeper played an absolute blinder. Rangers lost it at that final corner when they equalised and after that the penalty shoot-out was bound to go their way.

enjoying this today. great finish from Morelos for the second goal and brilliant to nutmeg Scott Brown in his last Old Firm game :laugh2:

also just loving Rangers TV coverage; Alex Rae and Alex McLeish with Rae calling McLeish "Gaffer" throughout.

What a great result and with four superb goals. Thought the 'Gers dominated the game, especially in the 2nd half.

Nice to see the Lego Eater finish his Celtic career on a low.

Many congratulations to Shagger for being named SPFL player of the year. McGregor is a great player and what a great servant for the club. Here's to beating Aberdeen today - or even drawing -to going unbeaten in the league this season and reaching 100 or more points. Looking forward to what could be a great weekend for football with Rangers winning the trophy; Chelsea winning the FA Cup; and Chelsea Women winning the CL. WATP

ALLAN McGREGOR has been named as SPFL Player of the Year for season 2020/21.

The Rangers goalkeeper has been in wonderful form this season, and in tandem with Jon McLaughlin, been critical in ensuring Gers have already set a new Scottish clean sheet record of 25 from the league season.

Some of his saves at times this season have been quite outstanding, and speaking after claiming the award, McGregor explained: “It is a big thing, obviously. Individual awards are good but the most important one was the league this season.

“There are a lot of players who could have won it in this team to be honest, but the most important thing was the league.

“If you look at goalkeepers and defenders, they may get the praise [for clean sheet records] but it is the whole team that does it.

“Right from the front three, they have been brilliant this season. It is a big thing – not the be-all and end-al, but once it is here, it is a big thing.”

What a fantastic start to what could be an awesome blue day. Have to admit, listening to gerrard just now, he speaks and comes across so well. Bit awkward obviously due to intense Chelsea - Liverpool rivalry but the guy has got something. You don’t win a title unbeaten and with over 100 points under that kind of pressure in Glasgow if you don’t.

f**kin party tiiiiime wooooohoooooo!

Today marks the end of a ten year journey from the depths of Scottish......World football by returning to the throne.

I can't move for the scene of red white and blue.

All thoughts and opinions about Steven Gerrard aside, the man has taken that fire and determination from his days in Liverpool and had it pummelled and refined by Govan's  most beloved. There is a mindset at Rangers, a way of doing things and a way of acting  Being. He's been nothing short of a gentleman and a class act from the minute he arrived up here. First number he took was the media and the absolute drivelling hacks pretending to be journalists. Once he taught them a badly needed lesson he went about studying, observing, learning and adapting.

The end result is legendary.

Looking at the trajectory, by the time he hits his 50's he will be one of the most respected managers in world football. How he handles himself is nothing but class. The key, is standing by him. He needs time and in time he delivered.

Gotta admit, having lived up here for the last ten years looking at snp flags being flown everywhere, my soul is smiling at the sheer volume of Union flags flying everywhere. Heart is beating a little harder, lungs taking in a little more air, standing a little taller. Today, is magic.

Title 55 secure.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from modern football.

Captain James Tavernier's journey has been a odyssey of epic proportions.

Attacked by fans after losing finals during a pitch invasion, confronted by opposition fans throughout his career. Branded a perennial loser from football fans and the media alike. A Captain without a trophy etc.

Rangers fans would probably admit to saying he wasn't Rangers class not so long ago during his dark spell after taking a monumental amount of abuse from all corners.

But yesterday, during a pandemic that was breaking a lot of peoples mental strength, Captain James Tavernier walks across red white and blue confetti with the big one in hand, wearing one of the heaviest shirts in the team.

Picture says a thousand words. A trophy hard fought and well earned.

Rangers legend right there.

Said it before I'll say it again, you put three lions on his chest and he'll prove his worth.
