Theyre still desperate to get rid of him, depressing...

Nah not depressing at all, we'll get a decent fee for him and he's not going to bother the starting line up. We need the revenue if we are going to fix the issues in the team.

Quite. He's, at best, a decent defender. Put the funds towards someone excellent.

the priority should be getting the ones who dont play or are permanently injured off the books first. Would free up the funds, squad spaces and allow us to keep decent players who can do a job. Chalobah is currently on England squad duty at the WC and can do a job.

No doubt he'll be sold, the owners want to sadle us with as much debt as possible.

I have 0.00% confidence that that will happen, they will use it to buy another average 18 year old.

We are about to sign Lacroix who is arguably one of the best and most experienced CBs in the league. A great partner for Colwill and a solid back three of Colwill, Lacroix and James.

Who's to say they aren't a priority?

Chalobah is the best CB we have outside of Colwill so it's no surprise he's the easiest to sell. The others will likely take all summer considering their wage to value is utterly shambolic.

You will need to do better than that to achieve Nostradamus status, sir. Gawd they are so predictable .

Im hoping Alonso derails this nonsense.

But of course. Entirely expected response.

Best? Most experienced?

Come on now...

He's been good but that's insane levels of hyperbole.

The way you describe Cucurella you'd imagine Sunday league clubs wouldn't be interested let alone Barcelona and Real Madrid. 😂

I genuinely think Laxroix is the best and most experienced CB we could realistically get in this market.

Cucurella will be on the bench for Cowdenbeath within 2 seasons.

that we can realistically get is a fair analysis. In the league, absolutely not.

Chelsea are a global football enterprise worth $5bn operating in a transfer window where £400m+ will change hands involving us.

They can handle multiple things at once.

Incidentally it's a lot easier to sell your trash closer to the window closing.

Who’s better?

Who's better and more experienced? Off the top of my head:

Van Dijk

Gabriel

Saliba

Ruben Dias

Gvardiol

Hincapie

Guehi

Van De Ven

Stones

Ake

Colwill

Van Hecke

Senesi

+You.

I definitely get why people think Chalobah is good, it's because all of our other centre backs were so colossally sh*t that he looked the best of a bad bunch. I really like Trev as a person, but as a player he's just not very good.

So not one of the best and certainly not one of the most experienced then.

5 clear better alternatives in a league with 100 CBs, yes I'd think Lacroix is still among the best.

Some of the names you mentioned you should've kept that sh*t hidden.
