If Potter had even a shred of self respect, he would resign with immediate effect.

Of course - he will not,  probably in readiness for the huge payout that he will receive, which will ensure that he never needs to work again. So once again Chelsea are rewarding abject failure. It beggars belief and MUST be changed in future contracts.

To be honest I half expected to wake up this morning seeing he's been sacked.

Matt Law finally reporting Leeds & Dortmund will make or break him.

If it's at that point he should go regardless and I'd say that even if I was still fully backing him.

Even if he wins those two it would just be delaying things.

I am convinced now that anyone who thinks he should stay is just a troll from another club who has infiltrated the forum.

Or it’s Todd…..

For me there are only 2 real options here.......

1) Sack him now, right now, and get someone new in ahead of the second leg against Dortmund (as it's the only game that really matters between now and the end of the season unless we qualify for the next round)

2) Stick with him till the end of the season and make a decision then. As once we are out of the Champions League, there will be little to no point changing the manager (unless the manager is seriously unpopular inside the dressing room). We won't make top 4 and we aren't going to be relegated, so outside of those two (very unlikely) possibilities, results don't really matter that much and the pressure is largely off.

Coombsie,

What would you do if your work would give you a 2-3+ year payout in wages vs you quitting and getting nothing? Would you quit or do you have self respect* either? 😛

* meant tongue in cheek
