Emi Martinez to Chelsea

Reports suggest that the Aston Villa keeper is looking to leave in the summer with Chelsea linked for his signature.

Would you take Martinez at Chelsea I certainly would as I believe he is a massive upgrade on Kepa and Mendy but his attitude would worry me that's all but in terms of footballing ability as a keeper it's second to none what's your thoughts blues fans?

Tier 1 Argentine source @Gastonedul claiming we are interested. He was among the first to report our Enzo interest.

I think if Slonina really is our long term plan, it works well. Dibu provides experience, sh*tehousery, and is a menace at penalties. The latter could benefit us given we will likely go hard in the domestic cups next season.

Age considered, 30m?

PL home grown tax though, PL rival tax. I mean we paid them 20mill for a kid they barely were using.

On the plus side Todd has a good relationship with them.

Think they ask for the 40mill Inter want for Onana, I am sure they heard about his price.

Perhaps this is one Todd can offer a trade for, if Villa have an interest in a CHO or RLC, or someone else like that.

Yes please.

He might be a bit of a nut job, but as @loz can testify  many keepers are. Anyway he's not at dear old Petar Borota levels of madness.

All keepers are mental, I played with a lad called mad Paul, looked like Steve Buscemi with his come to bunk bed eyes. Absolutely batsh*t mental, once quit a team we played for because a coach picked a young keeper to play, one Paul had brought to training to replace him, was literally his recommendation.

I would prefer him over Onana or Diogo Costa for couple reasons: Enzo affiliation, experience in PL but mainly fighting spirit and leadership : we're lacking so much in this department I think every possible transfer in the summer (GK, DM, ST) should be looked at from this angle

Also love for proper sh*thousery is missing in this squad as well, we need to bring it back. Who's Terry in this squad? Who's Diego Costa? I'm 20% percent joking but I think lack of leaders is an understated element as far as our problems go

Agreed. Every team needs that leadership and to even be a bit of a prick. Liverpool has it in spades, City has it in spades, when United are at their best, it is usually because of Varane and Casemiro, Arsenal has it in Xhaka. We are the nicest team in the league, but winners aren't nice, they are ruthless. The only one I see it in is Thiago Silva, but with his lack of English speaking abilities, he can only get it across with gestures.
