FA cup and Cup winners Cup winner John Dempsey has died, the nothern irish centre back played more than 160 times for us. Notably he played in the 70 Cup final battle v Leeds and our Cup winners Cup final win against Real Madrid in 71.

He played for Eire not Northern Ireland. Came from a few miles from me in NW London worked for underprivileged people when he left football bit different to the normal ex pros of the 70's who ran pubs badly for a year before coming double glazing salesman or ponce a living like Alan Hudson RIP Demps.

Man I miss Chelsea TV.

A little bit about his life outside football. A true hero, perhaps not the star player but an important part of the team I grew up supporting. RIP
