Some great performances today. Was impressed by Baltimore. Made some fine tackles and blocks. Erin was like a terrier in midfield.

Now for Celtic on Wednesday. Time to dig out a Rangers shirt and scarf.

Bit disrespectful to Sam Kerr…

Not sure I agree. Kerr has been brilliant, but I feel she can require several chances to take one. Maybe Ramirez is a little more clinical. And incredibly strong.

Great win today. Ours to lose!

Kerr did so much work off the ball for the team over 90 minutes it was amazing to watch. Kante would be proud.

To be honest, I dip in and out watching the girls, so i bow to anyone how follows more closely. I’m tempted to say it’d be great to be able to play them both, but I expect it will be another case of you can’t (post Kerr’s injury of course).

Speaking of which, I see Buchanan is this weeks WSL ACL casualty. I really can’t get my head around just how many players suffer ACL injuries. It must surely have something to do with female bio-mechanics or whatever you call it.

Both are strikers that like to peel wide and body defenders. They would actually be fantastic together, similar to Drogba and Anelka under Ancelotti.

The problem is that we have a lot of support forwards/attacking midfielders - Reiten, Beever-Jones, Macario, JRK and of course Lauren James - and all of them are in top form right now. Also, both Ramirez and Kerr are fairly injury prone and both play a high-intensity, physical, risky game.

I don't think Bompastor will play them together simply because she has other options available to her, but chasing a game or needing a goal it would be a force to be reckoned with.

Less that and more how professional sport (and sports science) has not considered the needs of women or adapted its practices accordingly. There is no silver bullet cause, the research (limited though it is) quite clearly suggests a multitude of factors that need consideration. The main difference is that male athletes get programs adapted to their injury risk and bio-mechanics at a very young age, whereas female athletes do not (due to funding and professionalism) - although we have seen this regress for young male athletes too in recent years

Reiten my absolute favourite Chelsea player....pure class 💙

+1 for the Reiten fan club, she's a fantastic player, she's at the heart of a lot that is good about our team.

No wonder the new boss uses her as a number 10 now.

A couple of people posted in a Chelsea Women's Supporters page on Facebook that after the match Basil was refused access to the Kona Kai pub which is across the road from the Bridge. No reason was given. As we know Basil is boisterous and passionate but is certainly not a trouble maker.
