Look at the ground Colwill is expected to cover when we have a single DM and our LB is stood in the half space most of the time.

Maresca has been harping on since pre-season about reverting to a mid block and less aggressive pressing.

Even still, Forest are a team that do a lot of defending. Murillo is more road tested than a Serie A or Bundesliga defender in a team with 98% possession.

And, his 1v1 skills are brilliant.

The fact we don't defend would still be an issue with Murillo though.

Maresca can say what he wants but when he expects one of the defenders to be next to the 10, i don't see how he can expect us to drop into a mid block in transition. We also have the most lackadaisical pressing, if we were less aggressive we'd be asleep.

Give this squad to Tuchel and i imagine we'd have no defensive issues.

No questions on his defending, but didn’t see enough on the ball. Maresca would’ve had an aneurism from the amount of times he booted it.

He's a great defender but he alone is not going to improve us because it's a system issue. Our CB's individually are not bad defenders, the problem starts when they have to play together...

Also for the money Forrest will ask it's simply not worth it.

If he is to be sold we will definitely be in for him. We’ve been after him for 3 windows. He may choose another club but I think we’ll be trying to bring him in.

The CB i most want and its great that we have been after him. Top player and everytime i watch him he's excellent.

Been watching Forest's last few matches and I'm convinced. If we have to bring in one he's the choice. The fact he's 22 is remarkable given his overall ability.

Think he'd fit into Maresca's system too.
