Strange lineup, very defensive. I guess the idea is to tire them out then bring on Cat, Erin and Mayra to run at them.

If that was the plan it has failed. Lucky not to be two down. The defending for the goal was so bad it has to be seen to be believed.

Very hard to imagine them turning around the CL tie.

Blimey. Should be 2 down. Thankfully the refereeing is even worse than Chelsea’s defending! How do you blow for a free kick as the ball is curling into the net?

Its as bad as the mens team, dominate the ball and get hit on the break, 1-0 and the ref f**ked up, it should be 2-0 but blew the whistle too quick, the coach doesn’t help changing the team every game, this is women’s football players barely get injured

Looks like the Boehly effect has finally filtered in to the women’s game. Struggling at the back, nothing in attack and can’t keep hold of the ball.

Seems like we've been bang average for quite a while now.

Need Reiten (and Kerr) back big time !

CL is the big one. Sonia knows what it takes to win it.

No amount of league titles and domestic cups will cover the abject failure that would be getting knocked out by a fellow WSL side.

What a game! Sonia put a rocket up their arses for the second half and was night and day between each half! Ran them ragged!

Keep that momentum and belief for the second leg this week!

Too many changes for me in the first that Keroliine seemed to terrorise our defence in the first.

Liked Kaneryd, James, and the final goal was special, clever by Lawrence to dummy the cross and Cuthbert with a superb angled header with power.

Marvellous performance, still unbeaten in the league. Another excellent effort from the ladies.

A job well done, now onwards and upwards in the CL.🙂

That second leg at the Bridge is going to be rocking.

That second half was unreal. I'm glad Sonia rested some of those players -- we need them more for Thursday. That cross by Lawrence was classic. Kaneryd's speed is unmatched. Great second half!!
