It's not just under Arteta.

I've been watching Premier League football since 2005 and for as long as I can remember Arsenal have always slowed down come Feb-April.

I think any fan of football who watch the PL since the 90's would know Arsenal always bottle it. It's only in extremely rare circumstances that they do manage to push it. Their fans and their team always play like they're owed a win/title. They never do well under pressure

I'm so happy arse fans everywhere are now beginning to realize that when pressure comes you can't rely on set pieces and own goals.

The final 10 games are always 10x more difficult because it shows the true nature of the squad and it's individuals

I really did think this season was going to be different (it still might). Not because Arsenal have been that great, but they do have a strong squad and strong bench, looked the best team defensively and also had the benefit that all their rivals were inconsistent and dropping points all over the place.

But it really would be great to see them choke again - especially if they win NOTHING. Would be so happy for Havertz and Madueke especially!!

I still think they will end up winning it. Not convinced City can put together the run needed to overtake them, nor beat them.

Lee Gunner going mental on AFTV last night.

No doubt Citeh will manager to f**k it up as they usually do after every Arsenal disaster.

Newcastle seem to be picking up. Would not be surprised to see City not beat them on Saturday.

Nah they will bottle it. The manner in which they lost will see Arteta resort to further tightening up defensively and try to win by the odd 1-0. Despite how strong they look; bar Gyokeres, the maligned Jesus and the injured Harvertz, they lack any real winners. You need a core with players who have won titles to get you over the line.

3 outcomes that'd have me rolling on the floor laughing. Arsenal lose out to City. Liverpool don't make it into the Champions League and Tottenham get relegated.

Sunday really is one of those games where it would be great if it were possible for both Spurs and Arsenal to lose. Unfortunately one of them gets a boost. (Spurs do with a draw imo).

From calling their defence better than our 04/05 team at the start of this season to saying Saliba and Gabriel aren't good enough when the pressure is on them.

Arsenal fans.

Yeah major reactionary views there. We can all have those moments, but to say Saliba and Gabriel are not good enough us wild.

Hope you are right of course, big question marks over City.

And really, if we recruited better we would have had a real chance at this title. A missed opportunity

Love how that’s the reactionary view you chose to highlight.

Never change.

Bloke seemed like he was secretly hoping they’d break our defensive record when Arsenal were getting clean sheet after clean sheet against bottom half clubs.

We've got the chance to completely ruin Arsenal's title challenge in a couple of weeks.

I hope we take the chance, it'll be almost as good as when we destroyed Spurs title hopes in the " Battle of the Bridge" and gave the title to Leicester all on the same night!!

Now look, I hate Vini as much as every other football fan, I think he epitomises the current degradation of the modern game and how far it’s fallen in the past 5 or so years.

BUT there is absolutely 0 place for Racism and it’s GLARINGLY obvious with how that West Falklander approaches him, shirt over the mouth, that he’s not congratulating him on the goal or asking what brand aftershave he’s wearing

Surely there’s enough cameras and mics and even players around now easily identify what’s been said.

It should become a bookable offence to speak with something covering your mouth from now on as it’s only being used for one thing surely.

We gave the captains armband to Fernandez after he had to apologise for his racist song on the Argentina team bus ! .

Ok, I did not expect this of you. You made an interesting point I thought worth replying to, so I did. I did not think you needed to score points on someone you have never met, that is still in the grieving process having lost their mother a few months ago.

OK I won't interact with you any more.

My condolences.

There are goals scored from corners and there are goals scored from corners.

There's Arsenal's mobbing the keeper goals.

Then there's Drogba's magnificent, athletic, stunning headed goal against Bayern Munich in the CL final.

I've watched it so many times and it still fills me with joy!!

Aye great memories.

Periodically My YouTube feed brings up either the highlights of that final, or the video of our run to the final and win.

I can remember the moments so clearly. The devastation of Mullers goal, the shock we sucker punched their celebrations with didis header.

Shouting loudly "come on big Pete" for Robbens penalty.

Then thinking Germans never lose on pens and Matas one resigning me to loss.

Wondering if Luiz was going to exit the stadium before taking his.

The hope returning from Olic getting his saved

The stunned silence of Bastians pen coming off the post....

... praying that Didier would score.

Magic.

Ah wait, I'm supposed to be a supporter of the invincibles and Henry.

"Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal" etc Etc

I'm not saying you're wrong but over the years, teams that won leagues have a particular strut and belief about them. I don't see it from this Arse team, if they do win it, it's only because everyone else shat the bed.

DKW I've only seen your post because you were quoted.

Did you miss the part where I said we can all have those reactionary moments? Or just chose to ignore it?

Here's the thing, I've never had to be the person to always be right. I've been the first to admit when I have been wrong, and have never hidden that I am a reactionary and negative poster. I've held that without issue. It's who I am.

So really, it kinda means i am qualified to see when someone is being overly negative or reactionary. Sconnie mentioned he saw arsenal fans saying they now think their CBS are not good enough. I feel Saliba and Gabriel are class Centerbacks so responded.

Yes, i also posted several times that i think arsenal have a top defence and that they were going to break our PL record. Ah my negativity and I was wrong again, big surprise there, it happens often.

What I don't do, nor feel the need to do, is to take shots at someone I've never met. So I will, as I have done so here, explain where I am coming from. People can agree or disagree with me, that's fine, I enjoy a good debate. What I won't do is get in to a tit for tat with you or anyone else, because that is also just who I am.

People were using Arteta as a shinning example of what an inexperienced manager can do given a chance, now people say his and his players lack of experience is causing them to crumble in the run in.

Then I look at us and wonder how our current management and players would cope if they were ever consistent enough to be in the race come the run in and can’t help thinking we’re way off.☹️

At the moment, the current group lacks a really good CB that oozes leadership. Doesn't have to be the captain, just a guy who knows what's it about and performs consistently in defence.
