Posted October 20, 200717 yr Everton 1 up and doing so well until St Steven gets a pen. Ref about to give hibbert a yellow untill st Steve orders otherwise and the ref gives ared
October 20, 200717 yr Author Both hibbert and Gerrard tugging eachother outside the box. The second they get in th box Gerrard goes down In my biased opinion not apen
October 20, 200717 yr Absolute joke. In no way whatsoever was that a penalty. The ref took out a yellow card, Saint Stevens has a word with him and he puts the yellow back in his pocket and takes the red one out. For f**k sake, he really is a cheating, diving, smug, over-rated little c**t.
October 20, 200717 yr Stevie IBE replaced for tactical reasons by Leivas Lucas!! There will be hanging in liverpool tonight

My thoughts exactly.

October 20, 200717 yr 2-1 Liverpool, although that one was a clear penalty. Never seen such a lucky football team, they lack class on and off the pitch. I hope the focus tomorrow is all on Gerrard's (as usual) cheating.
October 20, 200717 yr Author Liverpoo just got another pen and have won scored by Kuyt who should have been sent off. Everton were in complete control until the 1st sending off

October 20, 200717 yr Good to hear, apparently Green was beside himself when God was taken off. Just saw this on the Guardian's commentary of the match: ANDY GRAY PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Number of chances created by Liverpool in the first 70 minutes: 6. Number of chances created by Liverpool in the 20 minutes after Steven Gerrard was substituted: 6.
October 20, 200717 yr I watched it, although I wish I hadn't. Everton were 1-0 up and looking good on it, making chances and Liverpool were on the back foot, then guess who pops up, St. Stevie Gerrard, who got into a one on one situation with Hibbert, they came together outside the penalty box, both pulling on each others shirts ("6 to one, half a dozen to the other" I cried) as Gerrard managed to get into the penalty area, you knew there was going to be only one outcome, and sure enough Gerrard's legs went from under him, penalty given. Mr Twattenburg then reached into his side pocket and produced a yellow card ready to show Hibbert, "somethings wrong here" thinks Gerrard, "I'll have a word with my friend Mark and see if he'll change his mind, after all I call the shots on these kind of decisions." Sure enough the yellow card is put away and out comes the red. Unbelievable!! Gerrard later got subbed much to his own dismay but made a point of going over to his stooge Mr Twattenburg and shook his hand in a job well done. Liverpool then go on to win a match they deserved very little if anything from. Liverpool, what a bunch of cheating scouse b*stards.
October 20, 200717 yr The ref took out a yellow card, Saint Stevens has a word with him and he puts the yellow back in his pocket and takes the red one out. I seem to remember an hysterical reaction when JT did something like that a few weeks back. I wonder if we'll get the same here. Maybe Poll was right. The refs are so in awe of Stevie Me they even change their decisions to suit him.
October 20, 200717 yr Author Not only did everton not get two blatent pens for fouls on Lescott (one at the end the other a bit earlier) but then Fat Rafa calls Lescott a diver after the game. And the scousers call us classless
October 20, 200717 yr If the Gerrard pen was a bit debatable, the change from yellow to red on Gerrard's say-so was very dodgy, the yellow for Kuyt's two footed challenge should have been red, both fouls on Escott should have been pens. So - how many weeks will Clattenburg be suspended for, and will Hackett be phoning Moyes to apologise?

Kuyt's two footed challenge was insane, it was lunacy that he didn't get a straight red.
October 20, 200717 yr A smart man once said... "They play good - they win. They don't play good - they get a penalty - they win"
October 20, 200717 yr he really is a cheating bas*ard...just waited to get in the area, like he did in that champs league final, before flinging himself to the ground...then told ref to send him off...got a lot of class liverpool as carragher said
October 20, 200717 yr Well tubby receives a get out of jail card at the death and Liverpool get a win they most certainly did not deserve. Even Alan Green was utterly scathing about tubby's decision making in his subs and the Liverpool performance overall which just shows how bad it must be? They deserved nothing but got 3 points. Even though we need to reign Arsenal in part of me would still like them to get beat next weekend just of the hell of it. I still don't think tubby has it in him to ever make Liverpool champions, he is okay in cup competitions but I don't think he has the right mentality for handling the day to day grind of the premiership unlike Jose, Wenger and Fergie.
October 21, 200717 yr Watched the game - because it was on early over here (9.30 pm kick-off) and because it was the curtain raiser to us at Boro. My thoughts: 1. Great acting by Gerrard - watched it about ten times - they both had hold of each other shirts (nothing wrong with that given the context) but then Gerrard, without being bumped, and without any contact apart from the shirt tugging, straigthens his right leg and just goes over of his own volition. Not a penalty in my book (albeit we've all seen them given for less) and Gerrard should 've been booked for diving. 2. Sissoko has completely lost his confidence; 3. Kuyt and Voronin are journeymen strikers; 4. Benitez's decisions in taking off Gerrard early and putting Pennant on with about 3 minutes to go were tactical blundes of the highest order but because they got the late penalty there'll probably be nothing in the press about it; 5. Lescott clearly best on field and Arteta is such an intelligent player; 6. Will the apology from the Ref be forthcoming to Goodison? Clear penalty. Probably, not, since we all know that Pool are provided with a different rule book than for everyone else (apart from Manure that is). On 85 minutes I was sure that we'd be ahead of them by the end of the weekend and was really looking forward to the next instalment of deluded scouse whinging and buck passing; Finally I think they'll win about as many away games this year as last year and they'll finish fourth behind us, Manure and the Arse. If that happens it'll be interesting to see whether they keep Benitez cos it seems to me that the "Rafalution" is about to run out of steam. Lets hope so: Calling Lescott a diver for f**k sakes - what a twat.
